Pagoda Chinese Restaurant

Mixed opinions on the food. Generous portions. The restaurant itself needs a serious makeover.

Typical Chinese restaurant for the American palate. Food is what you'd expect, it's not bad, by any means, but I wouldn't say it's the best Chinese food in town. Prices are better than reasonable ($9 for a sesame chicken combination platter is a good deal given the huge portions).All-in-all, if you're in the mood for Chinese Take-Out, Pagoda will definitely hit the spot.

Americanized Chinese Eats.I placed a to go order and a big one at that. I was picking up for a few other office coworkers and they told us ten minutes. Kind of didn't believe that. But I pulled up and walked in ten minutes later and the food was hot and ready to go. They were pulling the last of our chicken wings off the fryer.I was able to split up the payments for the orders no problem. And the food was well packed and still steaming hot when I got back to the office. They were very busy when I went and that definitely surprised me. I guess I just expected them to be a random hole in the wall spot that only a handful of people went to. I was wrong.I ordered chicken wings and fried rice lunch special that came with an eggroll. The eggroll was filled with veggies and slightly greasy but with some duck sauce, it was decent for Americanized Chinese food. The fried rice was very basic fried rice, cooked with only soy sauce. I would pass on this if getting the lunch special again and probably go with French fries. The chicken wings were a pleasant surprise and very tasty. If in the mood, I would definitely come to this place again.

It seems like a very simple restaurant. There was a couple dining in so that looked promising, although I've been there once before and the food was okay I'd never seen anyone dining in before. I order the Chow Mei Fun and two Spring Rolls did not get the sauce that is usually given with the Spring Rolls and did not miss it until I started to eat. The food was good but not much flavor it was just kinda bland. I will return again and try another dish and make a final decision then.

I've eaten here before and the food was good, but yesterday the bbq ribs were not fresh and funky smelling, pork foo yung was only 2 patties and Franken meat of different cuts, cubes and long cut. I know Charlotte will never be NYC as far as eateries go but ... avoid this place!

Ordered Fried rice and they prolly microwaved it.The customer service wasn't that bad but not good.

just went to pagoda to see if they improved. do not go here at all. ask the wife why the charge 7.79 for 4 wings when they had 5 wings and charged less she pointed at her husband and said it's him. got beef look mein had noodles and hardly no beef. i will drive farther for better food and service.

Been eating Pagodas since high school i don't eat it as much because I'm 30 mins away but still the same fresh food big servings

There are not a ton of restaurants in this immediate vicinity, but for Chinese, this place is very good. Taking out is better than eating in (you get more), and the dine in atmosphere isn't great, it just is extremely basic.Quality of food has been top notch on all of my take out, but I admittedly order the same stuff over and over. I think it is reasonably priced, and I can usually get two big servings out of one meal. You could probably get three if you aren't an over eater!Good food, no frills, authentic (as best I can tell) in a neighborhood with minimal competition.

do not eat here!!!!!! i repeat do not eat here! with in 10 minutes of eating myself my spouse and toddle had to take a violent shit!!!!!!!!!!! im calling the food board! money wasted! thank god we didn't vomit too!!
