I dream about this restaurant at least 3 times a week. Not kidding lmao. ITS SOOOOOO GOOD! Charlotte definitely needed a place like this, its a hidden gem in South end that is very easy to miss besides the big beautiful golden door. Inside it's a nice dark ambiance that i like, with a nice fire pit along the wall in the back. Let's talk about the food.... Everything is a 20/20. I have been twice now and tried mostly all of the menu and the Miso lobster crepe, Chicken dumplings, and the Citrus buttered lobster is my absolute favorite. The staff is also amazing, I highly recommend making a reservation here. IG: StephColleen

Beautiful small bar in Southend. I loved the vibe here and the ambiance was great. It gets pretty crowded so it's best to make a reservation if you want a table. The live dj was playing great background music. Our server took our orders and they were sold out of 3 of the 10 signature cocktails they sell. I went for the pearodox. It was pretty good. It had strong ginger and honey flavor and a little spicy too. They were also sold out of many others drinks we tried to order. Finally we settled for some other drinks. When they came out, they were not as expected so we tried to get the server so we could order something else instead. We never saw her again and waited over 30 minutes. Finally we flagged down a different server and just had her take off the drinks that weren't touched and left after that. Overall, the place is nice and I may come back at an earlier time before things sell out.

If you're looking for a unique fusion of Spanish and Asian cuisine in a cozy, date-night-worthy setting, this spot is definitely worth checking out. The low-light ambiance creates the perfect atmosphere for an intimate evening, but I would recommend coming primarily for the cocktails rather than the food. The menu features a tapas-style approach, offering small plates that are fun to share. I tried the street corn fritters, which were good but could use a little more drizzle to prevent them from being slightly dry. The cheese on top was the highlight, adding the necessary flavor. The BBQ empanaditas were similarly underwhelming; while the crispy exterior had some flavor, the filling itself was dry and could really benefit from more sauce or seasoning. On a more positive note, the blue crab egg rolls stood out as the best dish of the night. They were full of flavor and definitely a crowd-pleaser. For cocktails, I highly recommend the "Kill Guillermo" for mezcal lovers--it's a smoky, well-balanced drink that's worth trying. However, one downside was the music. After 8 PM, it became a bit too loud and distracting, especially as the volume increased and the music started skipping. It made conversation difficult, which took away from the overall experience. In conclusion, while the food didn't blow me away, the atmosphere and cocktails make this place a solid choice for a casual, stylish night out--just be prepared to go before 8 if you want to have a conversation without shouting.

Tapas vibe. It's beautiful on the inside! Perfect for a date night, wouldn't recommend large groups unless you have a reservation. The service was mediocre and though the food was decent it's not somewhere I would go regularly.

Service is great and a wonderful ambiance with live dj music. The seating is well done and it felt private, even though we had people around us. Drinks are great and different. The food we tried was good too - I liked the hamachi. Prices are a bit up there, but good for date night or an outing with friends.

A night out in Charlotte brought us to Orosoko. food we ordered: Food: Chicken Dumplings Blue Crab Burrito Blue Crab Spring Rolls Drinks Pstar martini * bartender's choice Hugo Spritz (reimagined) Pstar Martini (reimangined)Angel was an exceptional bartender. He is incredibly talented, personable and a true mixologist. We enjoyed his cocktails and riffs (with a twist) on classics that were unique and tasty. He made our night here an A+ experience.

This was a small, but an exquisite restaurant-lounge with a dark, exotic, metro vibe. Very NYC. As expected, they played cool lounge-esque music (perfect sound system!), which really amplified the dining experience.I made reservations in advance, so we were able to slide into our seats during rush hour Saturday. However, the parking was a bit iffy. Luckily, we found a metered parking nearby...but if unlucky, you may have to cruise around the block several times. I tried to call the restaurant several times in advance to get parking directions, but all I got was a voice mail (even during restaurant hours!).I liked their East-West fusion concept, with mostly (if not all) small plates. We ordered 4 items to share...Special of the day Tacos (forgot the name), Blue Crab Burritos, BBQ Chicken Dumplings, Miso Lobster Crepe. Surprisingly, all the foods were really good...but the presentation was somewhat of a yawn. I had high hopes for the Blue Crab Burritos and Miso Lobster Crepe...but they both looked so basic. The burritos actually looked like simple Spring Rolls...and the Lobster Crepe also looked like this soft burrito wrap. Even with this gold paper on top, it wasn't exactly a show stopper. For some reason, I expected the plating to be a bit fancier. So yeah...the foods tasted great, but looked quite boring. Portions were really small for the pricing...but forgivable, given the overall swanky vibe of the place. BTW, for drinks, I opted for 2 cups of SAKE ("Mist" something?) Very strong!! All cocktails were priced at 17 bucks...again, quite pricey. Again, you'll be paying for the ambiance here.Service was good. The hosts were friendly and welcoming, and our waitress was attentive, and checked with us throughout our meal.Overall, I LOVED the restaurant ambiance-vibe (and the music!). I actually hate small, tight spaces...but they managed to pull it off. Still, the tables were set a bit too close to one another...and that's just not my preference. There were a few more iffy things...like the difficult parking situation, small portion-high pricing, and the boring presentation as mentioned above. Also, they served lukewarm water...which actually kind of grossed me out.I would have loved to drop 5 stars, but there were just one too many things that seemed a bit off to me. Still, given how much I liked the restaurant and the vibe it had to offer, I'm definitely open to returning.PS***Still having issues of my pictures attaching! (?!?)

We discovered this place via an IG post and we really enjoyed the play on the head to head battle of Asian and Latin dishes however the price point is pretty steep. Food is average except for the Hen of the Woods taco. OMG the best tasting taco I have ever had by far however I don't see how one taco is considered a "shareable", and $10 for one small taco...really? Maybe $12 for two might be more approachable. The lobster spring rolls and fritters were okay but nothing that screamed "wow, this is worth this price". Atmosphere is pretty unique yet there was an overwhelming incense smell that started giving me a headache. Drinks were good but again, price point was off. That mushroom taco though was something I will forever be dreaming about. I want that recipe!

The vibe in Orosoko is terrific. Very NYC/Miami. Sleek decor. The DJ is spectacular and the service was top notch. This place is tiny so you MUST reserve. The chairs at the round tables were a little ill-fitting. They were just too big to really be able to pull up to the tables and sit comfortably in order to eat. We kinda had to scoot our bodies forward and hunch over so as not to drop food on our laps. We enjoyed our food though. Cool menu concept with one side featuring items from the "East" and the other with items from the "West". Definitely try the Okonomiyaki. Didn't know what to expect from it, but boy was it tasty with interesting textures. The blue crab spring rolls are a must. Incredible flavor. The blue crab burritos came with an outstanding spicy drizzle. Not everyone enjoyed the corn fritters but I did. Chicken empanaditas and dumplings were solid, and I loved the slightly sweet flavor of the scallops. Definitely a repeat destination.

My first visit and I was pleasantly pleased with the overall ambiance of this bar. They definitely have the sound bar claim on lock because the music flows without the volume being too loud; good enough for an intimate conversation. It is a quaint space so reservations serve well here if you're wanting to ensure that you have a place to sit. The bartenders were pleasant and I was genuinely happy with how quickly my drink was prepared after I ordered; a refreshing change from the local bar scene. The drinks are priced $12-$17+ so keep that in mind if you're paying for multiple people. I tried a green tea cocktail and it was yummy, not too earthy, not too sweet...it was prepared just right!Fair warning, this is a great spot to start the night or finish the night, since they only offer small plates. I decided to try the Blue Crab Spring Rolls and the Chicken Dumplings... I'm not sure if it was due to the bar not being overly busy but it literally took 6 minutes for my first plate to come out. Again, the service was refreshing and the food was surprisingly good. I'd recommend giving a few plates a try, since no one plate is intended to fill your tummy. For a drink and two plates just for me, was around $50. Not too bad for the south end area and the service made it worth it. Go check them out for yourself and catch a vibe or two!
