Optimist Food Hall is a vibrant haven for food lovers, offering an incredible variety of culinary delights that cater to every craving. From globally inspired dishes to local favorites, this spot has it all.One standout was the bao buns, which were fluffy and filled with perfectly seasoned goodness. Whether you prefer classic pork belly or creative vegetarian options, the flavors were balanced and satisfying. The texture of the buns was spot-on--soft, pillowy, and slightly chewy. For dessert, the Basque cheesecake stole the show. Its creamy interior and slightly caramelized top made for an indulgent treat that wasn't overly sweet. It's the perfect way to end a meal here, whether you're grazing across vendors or sticking with one.The atmosphere is lively, with communal seating and an inviting buzz that makes it a great spot for groups or casual solo dining. If you're in the mood for variety and bold flavors, Optimist Food Hall delivers. Make sure to come hungry--you'll want to try everything!

Plenty of food to try from burgers to desserts. Nice to go with a guest or family to choose multiple items to share. Plenty of places to sit and eat both inside and outside. Free parking for the first 90 minutes but make sure you register your car so to not get a ticket.

This food hall was great! We had taken the train to Charlotte and looking for food close by. Optimist Hall is about a mile from the Amtrak station so it was an easy walk over. It was black Friday around lunch so it was very busy. There were so many food options to choose from, my family of 6 were all happy to run off and find their lunch. We ended up getting food from Bao & Broth, Harriet's Hamburgers, Suarez's (Cuban food) and Papi Queso (grilled cheese). It was a little chilly outside but sunny so we found an outdoor table to enjoy our lunch. After we ate, we noticed there was more outdoor seating in the courtyard which looked really nice. I wish we had known that before, but just makes us look forward to another visit.

Optimist hall is a food hall with many great options. The ambiance is very welcoming and open. We went on a Saturday so it was a little difficult to find someplace to sit. We enjoyed optimist hall so much we came back two days in a row! Suarez Bakery is a must try. We love their donuts, especially their cinnamon twists. I will say you can pass on the tres leches. It tasted like flavorless wet bread. The second day we went to The dumpling lady. We loved our dumplings especially the pan seared ones. The noodles were flavorful as well. Service throughout was very friendly. 10/10 recommend Optimist Hall of your in the Charlotte area!

WOW. I came looking for lunch since I heard the ramen was really good and stumbled upon a treasure chest of options. Not just food, but there is also a vibey plant store, stationary store with all sort of neat writing goods. Cookies, candy, cakes, gelato...YOU NAME IT! Outdoor dining options available on a nice day with plenty of seating. I wish I had more time to explore, I surely will be back to try the sushi spot.Bao & Broth was pretty good. Spicey Ramen was spiced just enough for me...not to hot, but just enough to taste the flavors.

You can never go wrong with Optimist Hall! I took the train to the hall with my family. There are so many different food options to pick from. It's also a very family friendly place as well. My mom wanted to try the lamb from the Indian spot here. It turned out pretty good! I had a roll that I shared with her. It was the perfect size to share for an affordable price too. We also got a drink before heading back on the train. Definitely recommend this spot!

Highly recommended by co-workers for dining experience in Charlotte. I been to so many food hall in many cities, this is one of the biggest one out there. It has something for everyone. Sweets, bbq, Chinese, American...you name it. They have a flower shop tuck at the back and a couple proper restaurant too. Free parking for first hour, but it is usually so crowded that there are no where to sit. Cleaning crew is doing their job but during peak hours they just can't keep up. Food is good, the best is probably the dumplings. BBQ and pizza you can get much better option in the city. Prices are higher than average though I think. Nice place to hangout with friends if you find somewhere to sit.

One of the best food halls that I have been in. So many options and choices.. it's in an old warehouse and has seating inside and some really neat areas outside as well. The genres of food are very diverse, but everything we tasted was amazing. This is our favorite place in Charlotte when we are in town.!!! I love the vibe of the whole environment. If you're in Charlotte, this is worth the trip to get there and experience this.

This review is for the overall venue and not the individual food stalls or vendors. I have been to this style of place before and this is so well done. The layout is great with outdoor seating with fans or heat depending on the weather and indoor picnic style tables for communal eating. It's nice to chat with strangers from time to time! The bathrooms were cleanand everything in common areas was clean. Great place to grab lunch in the city especially if your party has different food tastes

So many options to choose from and I love it! I ended up trying the dumpling and Indian place - no complaints here. Everurbint was delish and I loved having options! we did come in the middle of a weekday but I hear that it can get pretty crowded. We found seating pretty fast and no lines but can't say that's how the weekends are.
