On The Roxx

This place is so small, it should be considered a mar'tiny' bar. Okay, bad jokes aside, On The Roxx is a small, yet popular martini bar in the Lake Norman area.Basically, its one narrow room with a bar running down the right side, and a little alcove in the back left that leads to a miniscule back patio area.What it lacks in space, however, it makes up for in atmosphere. People pack in here, either watching a game, listening to music on the house speakers or, on occasion, live music.Not for the claustrophobic, but a good place to be seen starting or ending your evening.

Great atmosphere ! Perfect local bar during the day and nightclub/fun party at night. Awesome bartenders and great specials!!!

Very uninviting with virtually no lights on. Walked in the bar one gentleman sitting at the bar. Smell of cigarette smoke and was just very dirty feeling. Bar tender was nice but was involved in the football. No drink menu available at all. Hard to see what they actually have to pour you. No beers on tap unless hidden behind the bar. Overall wouldn't recommend here and or stop in at all. I will go back.

I've been coming here for about 6 or 7 years and that's spanned two different owners. I no longer live at Lake Norman but I stopped in Friday and it hasn't changed much, for good or bad. Tons of dudes waiting for the girls to come in who started drinking cheap(er) at the Rudder. The place is small but will be about your only consistent choice for a good DJ, usually on a Friday. If you don't like getting bumped or jostled I doubt you're in here past 12:30am. Two of the lakes best bartenders are usually here on a Friday too. Good pours and a mixed drink should be in the $5-$6.50 range. Plus, they almost always have a domestic bottle on special. Even though this is advertised as a martini bar, this is NOT a quiet, date night, lounge type place. If fact, you'll be lucky to see two martini glasses all night.

Nice place to stop in for a drink. They seem to host goods as I have seen the cigar group out back. Prices are not to bad as well
