I stayed at this hotel with my family for Christmas - there were about 17 of us. First impressions were that the lobby was really nice. I really appreciated the water they had available in the lobby as well as the room. The valet parking was a bit expensive - $48/night. We didn't do much research about the area so I'm not sure if that's normal. Anyways, the staff were extremely nice. I'm surprised with all the reviews saying how mean the employees were. They were all so accommodating. The only one I got a name of was Airel who helped us check in. Though there were other staff that helped us with things such as providing razors and a room change (more on this to come). So onto the room. It was nice and spacious. I liked how there was a couch in the room and the beds were very comfy. Apparently I was snoring all night which tells you I had a pretty good sleep. Now onto the issue we had. Our room had cockroaches - now I'm not talking about a one and done scenario, we literally had a cockroach a night. We brought this up to the staff at the front desk and they said they'll make a note of it and report it to maintenance. They also offered to change our room for us. That was much appreciated! Once again the staff was very accommodating.Overall, I enjoyed the stay minus the cockroach fiasco and exorbitant valet prices.

There's a very cool Bollywood event going on tonight and it's a great hotel to host since it's on the grand scale. I love the lobby and the bar area is hopping on a Friday night 10/11/24. There is a Draft kings event going on as well.

Was truly disappointed and disgusted at the room I received. The photos attached show multiple dark hairs in my bed, dirty towels, dusty tables... while they did come and clean and replace the towels, there was no compensation made or attempt at goodwill. This is a chain I have status with -- so I really expected more.

Horrible experience checking in. One person checking ppl in and 9 ppl in line. It's taking longer to checkin than it did to drive in. Hire more ppl and use your booking data to staff accordingly hotel 101

I will start with the end result -- for an Omni Hotel, it was lackluster. I traveled here for work and I was booked a room here and I was pretty excited because it's an Omni Hotel. The exterior is exemplary of an Omni Hotel and it looks really nice -- located at the heart of Uptown Charlotte. The lobby is a few floors up, and the lobby boasts of a bar. The downstairs area is connected to a Walgreens, a Starbucks and a Chick-fil-A so there are conveniences that are connected which is nice too. There's also a nice semi-rooftop pool on the second floor. The vibes are nice but it definitely looks different than the picture. I'm not much of a pool-user so it wasn't that much of a bother. Then why is it 3 stars?Well first, the room was not that clean. Because the rooms were carpeted, there were stains on the carpet which didn't live up to the standard at all. The room was pretty wide and big, but the stained carpets were just a bummer. Also there are 4 elevators but it looked like 2 of the elevators were straight up NOT WORKING! What an extreme inconvenience. We were coming back after working a concert and the line to go up was insanely long and it took us nearly 25 minutes to go up to our rooms. With a hotel this big, two sets of elevators is NOT enough. Staff was generally friendly but I was not impressed for an Omni brand unfortunately.

This was the first Omni hotel I've been to, and I was pretty impressed. The room was clean, the view was great, and the kind person at the front desk upgraded us to the top floor, which includes free breakfast! There is also complementary flavored water, and shops inside of the building (Starbucks, Walgreens, etc.) The hallways sometimes got kind of loud becaise there was probably a wedding. At 6 am, there was banging on all of the walls which disturbed my sleep. The bed was actually very comfortable, but it took me a long time to fall asleep like all hotels. Overall, this was a pretty good hotel that could have some improvement.

PARENTS BEWARE AND AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!IF YOU HAVE A CHILD UNDER 3 AND REQUIRE A CRIB, DO NOT STAY HERE. THE STAFF, THE MANAGER (Derek Squibb), THE INFLEXIBILITY - ALL HORRIBLE. As a father to a 15 month old this was without a doubt the WORST hotel experience I have ever had. Here is what went down... 1. We were staying here for a wedding weekend, where the entire wedding party is staying at the Marriott. The only reason we opted to stay at the Omni is because they state they have have cribs multiple times on their website, NOT pack n' plays. We do not stay at hotels that have pack n' plays because our baby will not sleep through the night or any of her naps when in a pack n' play instead of a crib. I am sure other parents understand this. 2. Because we have had issues with previous hotels who falsely advertise they have cribs, we confirmed with your hotel before booking that you did in fact have cribs, not pack n' plays. Once we booked at your hotel, we called not 1, but 4 additional times, including 48 hours before our stay to ensure they have a crib reserved for us to be placed into our room. The phone logs will show this, as do my wife's cell phone logs.3. Once we checked in, we re-confirmed again that a crib would be placed in the room. When we arrived in the room, there was no crib, so we called to have it brought up. Come to find out... they only have a pack n' play available. 4. In fact, after lots of investigation with the night manager, who was actually quite helpful... The hotel does have 5 cribs, but 2 are broken, and 3 were being used by other guests. I am not sure if you are a parent or not, BUT this is actually the worst possible thing that could happen to us on this trip. The baby will now not sleep through the night, she will not nap, and we will have a miserable time... all because of the hotel's false advertising and incompetent staff regarding reserving this crib./ 5. The front desk and the manager Derek Squibb was so utterly incompetent, as their "solve," was allowing us to check out and stay at another hotel. Not really a "solve" to me. Especially when you have two rooms, lots of luggage, convinced other wedding party guests to also stay at this hotel, etc. I went ahead and emailed general manager Toby Scott Long, who supposedly was on vacation and spoke with Derek. 6. Finally the manager Derek Squibb, finally agreed to reimburse us the cost of the renting a crib from a 3rd party company. It should be noted that Derek Squibb continued to build upon the pattern of unhelpful and incompetent Omni staff, as he was incredibly rude, dismissive, and inflexible. Basically blamed us for needing a crib. Derek then put in writing that he would reimburse us the cost of the crib rent. 7. Now upon check out, we reviewed our bill, only to find out that despite Derek Squibb putting it in writing that he would reimburse the cost of the crib rental, he only removed $75 from the bill. The manager on duty was a tattooed lady who was even more rude and dismissive, and advised us to call the credit card company. 8. ATTENTION!! Toby Scott Long!! The crib rental cost was over $300, which I emailed to you. We have it in writing from Derek that you will remove the charge from the bill. Beyond me being incredibly frustrated by your incompetent staff... I write this review as I HOPE NO OTHER PARENT HAS TO DEAL WITH THIS EXPERIENCE FROM YOUR HOTEL.

The night employees are horrific! Wouldn't even make eye contact and when asked if there was any food or snacks at the hotel at 12:30 at night they said "right across the street" and it was half a mile away in a bad area. We quickly came back and the only food u could get at 12:30 was a snickers bar on a Saturday night. The front desk could care less. Very disappointing.
