Ol' Bob's Bbq & Catering

This spot is well known for their BBQ chicken and ribs. I come for the wings because they are cooked to order with their homemade honey BBQ sauce. I ordered extra ranch dipping sauce it's also made in house.There is limited seating but the staff is quick getting customers in and out. They were sanitizing the tables between customers. Staff wears mask and glovesThe tables and floors are cleanBathroom was also cleanStop in for lunch or dinner. I was please with the food and service.

This is a neighborhood staple restaurant! I love it! Very good food. Great for breakfast, lunch or dinner. If your passing Thru Statesville be sure to stop in have some dry rub ribs, or BBQ or a hamburger and a Mountain Dew with a little cherry soda in it and yum yum!!! Oh

Wasn't the best but wasn't the worst I'd eat here again. BBQ Pork Sandwich flavor right but some bites a little dry

We placed an online order at Ol' Bob's on our return from a road trip. Both my companion and I ordered the chopped pork. On the positive side, we both received a huge serving of pork. However, the BBQ was somewhat dry and really didn't have much flavor. The BBQ slaw was chopped cabbage, with a touch of pimento and a vinegar base. It was a definite "meh" but was just good enough to make me consider taking a side trip to Lexington for the real deal. The fries were warm, but flaccid. The hushpuppies, which could have been very good, were overcooked. Overall, the food rated 2.5 stars. My biggest issue with Ol' Bob's was that online orders were not a priority. I entered the restaurant a couple of minutes before the specified pickup time. I let the cashier know that I was there and she informed the kitchen. The restaurant was busy and at least a dozen other Customers ordered from the counter and received their food while I waited and waited and waited. About 25 minutes after the specified pickup time, an employee informed me that everything in my order was ready, except for one hushpuppy. I had the option of waiting longer for my last hushpuppy or taking a dollar discount and leaving a hushpuppy short. I took the dollar and my 1-hushpuppy-short order. Since online orders don't seem very important to Ol' Bob's, I think the service rates 1.5 stars, but your mileage may vary if you order at the counter.

We had a take out order our bill was 17 something didn't get our drink i asked for barbecue slaw didn't get it we're done with bobs never again will we be back there ...the next morning my boyfriend had bad upset stomach so we won't ever order there

I usually do not like bbq, but Ol' Bob's is delicious. I had a to-go dinner that included a large portion of pork Q, coleslaw (choice of mayo- or vinegar-based), three large yummy hush puppies, and a drink: $14.99. "I'll be back."

Great barbecue and wings! Ribs too! They have a wing night. Multiple sauces and slaw to choose from! Breakfast too

Prices are really high for what you get. Nothing to write home about. Probably won't return

Ive eaten at Ol Bobs many times sense they've opened and slowly over the years Ive stopped ordering certain items on there menu. They have become so hit or mis with their food its gotten to where I may never give them another try. Its just to expensive to order food and when you get home find its un eatable. Last 2 times I ordered their Big Ol Burger the outer edge of the burger was burnt and rubbery as if it had been soaking in Aju all day.. I understand that at times you must make food up in advance but it then has a shelf life that must be adhered to.. You Just cant sell a burger for Dinner that was made at Lunch and call that quality food... I truly hope Ol Bobs gets their act together because I love supporting local business but they have to perform to keep receiving my support..

just went through the drive thru and added a cup of ice to my order. after I paid I realized I paid $3.60 for a cup of ice. I could have gotten a bag of ice for a dollar less. That's like a 800# profit. I think they should warn the customer before hand.
