Always good. Comfortable inside and outside seating. Waiting for them to reopen. Our to go orders were fulfilled on time.

I was part of a group who had this catered in. For someone looking for Gluten Free options, I called them and they told me their sauces, coleslaw, baked beans, and all their smoked meats are gluten free! So at catered events I know I'm safe with pulled pork, their delicious sauce, a good coke slaw, and their great baked beans made with pieces and ends from their pulled pork.Shoutout to the lady I spoke to in their catering department for being so knowledgeable and helpful!!

First time visit today for lunch.Greeted at the cash register by the nicest young man. Friendly, knowledgeable and helpful.Food was fantastic. Combo platter pork, ribs and beef. Hush puppies with hint of jalapeño and great dipping sauce. Sides were equally good.Sat outside on covered porch. Very nice breeze.Ended up talking with the owner for 15 minutes or so. Very sweet lady and could not have been nicer.If you are traveling on 40 going west towards Asheville stop in ... if you're leaving Asheville on 40 going east ... stop in. Easy parking, no rush and yes they were busy but the food was ready FAST!

This was our second time having great barbecue at this great little spot right off the highway. We also appreciated how clean and friendly they were.

Looks like my husband and I ordered the same platters! I didn't realize it until I went to review Okie Dokie's again. I'm usually not a creature of habit, but their ribs are goooood. When driving through the NC mountains, this is our usual BBQ pit stop!We got on the road early, so we had to wait 15 mins until they opened. They were nice to let us in early and use the restrooms. The staff is polite and always have a smile! The restaurant filled up fast. On warmer days, they have porch seating and picnic tables in the grass...both areas to dine with your pup!

Service super fast. Loved the mustard-based sauce. Went with the chicken, ribs, beans, mac, and jalapeño hush puppies-- all solid choices. Mom and pop feel. Would visit again.

As someone who is a BBQ snob I can say this is fantastic BBQ, the mild sauce will knock your socks off. By the time you finish ordering at the counter they're bringing your food out. Super friendly people.

I'm not that into BBQ but my hubby loves it. But this time I have to say it was delicious! I'm GF so their GF BBQ Sundae was perfect. My hubby loved his Smokehouse Plate, mist tender beef brisket he's ever had, beans and coleslaw great. They do shortened hours so check them before you go. But GO!

Second time here. Order at counter and by the time you sent down food is being brought out. The food is phenomenal with no complaints on any of it. Hands down best ribs I have ever ate in my life. Highly recommend this awesome bbq joint if your in this neck of woods.

The genuine BBQ. Have enjoyed Okie Dokie for years as a food truck at Lake Eden Arts Festival (LEAF) and appreciated their support of this amazing event. This lead to my search for their brick and mortar location which is in hurricane ravaged Swannanoa. They are repairing their restaurant and smokers. So glad they are coming back. Excellent meats and delicious delights traditional southern sides.
