O'Darby's Liquor Barn

My family and I are visiting from out of town, NYC and ATL. We tried to purchase alcohol but were turned away because not everyone in our group had their ID with them. I noticed that other customers with larger groups were able to check out without having all their IDs verified. There were customers in there with kids under the age of 10 who were able to purchase. Everyone in my family is over the age of 21. There was 5 of us and only 1 of us left their ID at the house. While I understand that the store has a policy, the situation felt racially motivated. We were the only Black customers in the store, and the man cashier, who was wearing a lot of makeup, began setting the bottles aside before even asking for our IDs. We were understanding that who didn't have their ID should leave the store but the cashier quickly said even if she left, he still wouldn't serve us! We were not loud, disruptive or disrespectful. The customer behind us even commented "wow that's crazy". It was very embarrassing, and I've never experienced anything like that before.

The store is split with beer on one side and wine and liquor on the other (two separate checkouts). Pricing is fine and wine selection was good. Beer is definitely a smaller section/side.They close at 7:00 for those of us not used to that!

Turn off took a quick visit today just to see what was new and the new shipments that they got in are so cool I'm really excited to try the sugar tit moonshine

Super friendly staff that was helpful in bringing my things to my car. I had a huge party planned so I wanted to stock up with the necessities at a slightly cheaper price in SC. Their prices are super affordable and I like their wide selection. It's a little weird that they have the liquors in a separate store from the beer/wine but it's not that big of a deal to me. They also have a fairly expansive beer cooler.

Great liquor store. People were very helpful and knowledgeable. Selection is solid and the 'membership' is easy. Check out was quick and efficient. All the selection and cheap pricing of Frugal without the chaos and angry mobs.

Cheap priaces, amazing variety, and kind people! What else can you ask for? I went in just to look around, when I was approached by the staff. In just talking with me they found what I liked and showed me some more options. *Side note* I loved all their tips!

Great store n guys working here. Great selection n if they don't have it they will order it for you. Growlers available also. I sent a pic of the wine I wanted n the next time I went in he had it for me. Great place good prices...10% off wine on mondays.

This place is packed on a Friday afternoon. Good beer selection. Great liquor selection. Helpful staff.

Address listing is wrong, they moved to 1740 Heckle Blvd. more than a year ago. This is a very good store for my wine and beer as well as occasional spirits supplies. They even have eight different beers on tap to fill or refill your growlers. Very extensive selection and very knowledgable and friendly staff.
