NY Hibachi Buffet is slightly below average for a chinese buffet. The food was serviceable but it is very apparent that the restaurant is using cheaper cuts of meat (mostly different types of chicken dishes in different sauces) and that the seafood quality is below par. The mussles are small and unappetizing. The shrimp is rubbery. And the sushi is mostly rice. I'm a huge meat eater and my favorite thing in the buffet line was their green beans. The fact that they have General Tang's Chicken instead of General Tso's Chicken should have been a clear sign that the food is below par. Despite the negatives, there are some bright spots that include their fried dumplings, the freshness of their fruits, and like mentioned above, the green beans. The place was bustling which means that the locals enjoy this spot and that the food is appealing to some. Because of how busy it was, the food was always fresh and steaming. The wait staff was so so and the ambiance is the standard chinese buffet ambiance. If the prices were a little cheaper, I think this review would have been a little more forgiving. $14.99 plus $2.99 for drinks is steep for below average food.

Food was pretty good, several bars of selection. Quite a bit of things like chicken nuggets, fries, mozzarella sticks, and other kid friendly options, several seafood options, sushi bar, hibachi bar, and dessert bar.$60 for 2 adults and a child but we realized they charge adult price for our 9 year old but when I pointed it out they gave us some ones back which was ok we added it to the tip, but be sure to watch your tickets. Definitely not bad, but if you don't plan to utilize hibachi and sushi bars the price may be a bit steep for you. Tonight it was $16 per person for a Monday night dinner and $3 for drinks.

While at first appearance the buffet looks like a good one, closer inspection shows it to be disappointing. Foods that should have been be crispy were limp and always we suspicious of a Chinese buffet where the servers are mostly Hispanic.

A solid buffet! These days it's quite difficult to find a decent "ALL YOU CAN EAT" buffet in the nation -- NY definitely delivers. The food is always fresh and stocked. The best time to come is when it's really busy. The idea sounds wild but that's when the best food is served. I love how the food is not overly salted, just enough to make you want to come back for more.Overall, great customer service and very attentive; even for large groups.

I understand you would like me to rewrite your previous message to make it clearer. Here is the corrected text:We had a bad experience at one of the top 10 worst Chinese restaurants we have ever been to. The food was not fresh and the rice was yellow, not the traditional fried rice we were used to. The salmon was too strong, while the chicken was dry and most of the meats were overcooked. The dessert choices were not good either. We were very disappointed and will never return to this restaurant again. The waitress did not clear the dishes from the table until the last minute when we asked for the bill. We left a 10% tip out of courtesy, but we usually leave 25% or higher.

Quality down, prices up. Have been going here for years. They keep jacking the prices up, now they charge a fee for credit card payment. The sushi selections have been reduced to phony rolls, no fish. The place is really worn down, booths are ripped and worn, the window blinds are busted and dirty (never been cleaned, food, splashes, grime). Most food was lukewarm at best. Egg rolls were soggy, not crisp. Have been here a number of times over the last couple months and there still remains a sign "no chocolate ice cream". Usually this place busy but today one whole side was empty. The usual staff wasn't there and I wonder if ownership changed hands. It obvious it winding down in quality, performance and customer satisfaction. Crossed NY Hibachi off our restaurant list. Very disappointed as we really enjoy buffet style restaurants and there are not very many good ones left.

To be honest, I'd been going here since like 2018 and the prices had increased INSANELY. Like what do you mean its $60 for TWO adults? Anyways I was getting my food and i was taking a good look at it until i saw 3 DEAD NGATS. I immediately went up to the register and took a good yell at them. The food was cold and the only good thing there is probably the chicken on the stick things. 2/10 but gets 1 star

Better than average, this Chinese buffet was busy but on a Sunday afternoon, they were bringing out fresh food and keeping the steam tables stocked. Most of the dishes have too much sauce or too many carbs but it was possible to eat around most of it and still have a good meal.Sushi was pretty basic but it was fresh and it was tasty. There is a salad section (mostly untouched), desserts and a hibachi grill-to-order if that's something that appeals. Several options for the kids who might not like "Chinese food" including wings and mac & cheese.A real bargain at $10 plus tip. My waitress was great at clearing dirty plates and refilling my drink. She was wearing a mask, which was nice to see. They do have plastic gloves available so I wasn't actually touching the same spoons and tongs as everyone else.[Review 15407 overall, 910 of 2021, number 2957 in North Carolina.]

NY Hibachi Buffet was terrible the service rude. The cook at the grill just stared at me I told him thank you and again just stared. I'll never go back and the food was terrible. I don't leave negative reviews unless I feel strongly about what I experienced.
