Highly recommend this place for a nice casual dinner spot! Everything was absolutely delicious, we did have one problem where our appetizer came out with our dinner but our waitress and the supervisor came over right away and apologized and took the appetizer off of our bill which I thought was very generous. Super relaxing atmosphere and amazing service! Also they have amazing gluten free options! I had their gluten free pasta and it was delicious!

This was my first visit to the South End location, and I was thoroughly impressed! I started with two orders of the White Truffle Garlic Bread, and let me just say it was phenomenal. Spending $32 on bread says a lot about how good it was!For my main course, I tried the Chicken Parmesan and substituted the Parmesan Rigatoni for linguine noodles instead. It was an excellent choice and quickly became my favorite dish of the meal. I also ordered the Roasted Salmon, which was equally delicious.Overall, everything was great, and I'll definitely be returning for another visit. North Italia delivered a fantastic dining experience!

UPDATE: The owners of North Italia decided to give out smaller portions for the eggplant Parmesan (like a ridiculously smaller portion)Thankfully, I LOVE the manager and the staff here! They're so friendly and went out of their way to get me an extra piece of the eggplant parm for my meal. Impeccable service, they're always on top of their stuff!Ambiance is always good here but the smaller portions make this already pricey spot a bit of a deal breaker.

This was an amazing venue. The decor and layout were great. We had a reservation on a Friday night and you definitely should make one. The menu was sized just right. My husband and I shared an app and then said we would share a pasta dish and it arrived split in two bowls without our asking. The service was just great and prompt. We waited for nothing. This authentic Italian restaurant is a must dine in Charlotte.

The restaurant was nicely decorated with candles and flowers on the tables, and everything was so delicious from the drinks to the appetizers! Our table's favorite item was the white truffle garlic bread, which we will definitely be back for more.For my main course, I ordered the chicken parmesan. The flavor of the chicken was pretty good, but the texture was dry. The pasta it came with was also a little hard and it lacked flavor. As a result, I ate a piece of chicken for each piece of pasta so that the chicken offered some flavor to the pasta.Service was pretty good and fast. In fact, our appetizers came to our table not even five minutes after we ordered them!

Have come here on two different trips on different seasons. Fantastic service. Gorgeous interior and ambiance. Food ALWAYS hits the spot. Pasta is handmade. Pizza dough tastes fresh and light too. Premium ingredients. The freshly-made pesto pasta is top, outside the seasonal specials. Bolognese pasta is a bit overrated (sorry!) -- still tasty, but not bold enough imo. I've had much better at other Italian restaurants + I believe they have other dishes that stand out more (and significantly so).Pro tips: 1. Ask for half a portion for the pastas (it'll still be a filling dish and much cheaper). 2. ALWAYS ask for the seasonal specials. 3. DON'T sleep on their weekend brunch. WHOA brunch steak and eggs btw - MIND BLOWN. Come. You're welcome.

If I was dying tomorrow, I would skip seeing my loved ones and go here instead. The White Truffle Garlic Bread... what can I say? If it wasn't for the Spicy Rigatoni Vodka, I would eat that garlic bread for appetizer, entree, and dessert. Our server, Trevor, provided us with exceptional service. He knew when he was needed, and seemed to read our minds. This restaurant and its staff constantly raise the bar for all of us.My date is eating her leftover pasta now. How do I tell her I value the food more than our relationship? Hopefully she doesn't see this review. In closing, I would say: how does one describe the sunset? How do you express the feeling of a Mozart symphony to one who cannot hear? Lol this place is so good see you next week

Beautiful sunny location. Staff was very friendly and accommodating to my large party. Food came out timely and everybody enjoyed what they ordered. We had the Tuscan Hash and Pollo Fritto. Both were absolutely delicious and the coffee cake was amazing!
