New York Pizza & Pasta

New York Pizza & Pasta used to be a family favorite but it has gone downhill in the past few years. I believe the restaurant changed hands and that is where the problems started but the food and service just simply aren't as good as they used to be. My family and I tried to go back and see if the food was still enjoyable. My sister and I had run to the restroom while my father grabbed a table. He asked for a water (he is diabetic and doesn't drink soda or sweet tea because of this). The waitress scoffed and made a rude comment under her breath about him being cheap.This was very insulting and very stupid as she would have received multiple more drink orders and a good tip at the end of the meal if she had only done her job. We by no means are throwing around money but we appreciate our waitstaff and try to give them a bit more than what is typical. I am very sad that this place went from somewhere I happily celebrated my grandfather's birthday to a place that I avoid altogether.

Once upon a time NY Pizza was excellent. NOW? Over priced crap! Paid $46 bucks for a sandwich/w fries, and a pizza. That pizza sucked so bad. Bad unflavored sauce, seemed like fake cheese. The crust was fairly good. This pizza was NOT as good as a decent frozen one. Utter crap! Will NEVER return.Jack FPlus, after I gave them my opinion over the phone. They call me back and chewed me out. LMAO! Just a loser place all the way around.

I order a Pepperoni Pizza from Here and Omg It was so delicious the sauce tastes homemade and the cheese is so fresh and the pepperoni had to be fresh it was the best pizza I ever had and I go to a lot of different pizza restaurants to find really good pizza and this has topped a lot of pizza place I been to from charlotte to Monroe and the service was amazing this will be my number one pizza joint for now on next time I come I'm getting the pasta and I know it's going to be delicious I have heard a ton of recommendations to try the pasta

The brunette behind the counter charged me $10.68 for mozzarella sticks, citing that because I was there a little early, "their gas wasn't turned on yet and gas is expensive". I wonder if they would have done that to anyone ordering or if they just just profiled me. Either way, it was super petty and small time. I won't be back. If they are penny pinching and nickel and diming like that then I don't dare want to think about where else they could be skimping to save money. That's definitely not New York because people from New York have enough sense to know that longevity in the restaurant business comes through having repeat customers. Throw the towel in NY Pizza & Pasta.

This used to be our favorite pizza place, period. We'd drive the 7 miles to go here specifically because we enjoyed it so much. Went back after a long absence, and it's changed. The crust, the cheese ...not the same. Not as good as it was, which years ago was excellent. Sad. Apparently has changed ownership a few years ago, and they changed some things and not for the better. Ther pizza we had was OK ... it was good, but not outstanding as it had been. May not be back ...closer places as good or better than it is now.

NY pizza?! not a chance in hell. this is BARELY passable as human food. think cici's, which is also trash, but worse. really nice and polite employees though! plenty of NPC customers who surely think celeste $1 pizza and little caesers is good.

love the pizza here , me and my dad grab two from here almost WEEKLY. Some of the best pizza I've had my 2 years out here !

My wife and I go here (up until today) a lot. Went today for lunch with 4 of our grandchildren. Ordered a cheese pizza for them and we got the buffet as we usually do. The grandchildren are 2, 4, 6, and 7 girls. I noticed the guy standing near us a lot. My wife and I figured one or two on the children may want to taste what we were eating so we both didn't eat as much as normally to be fair. When I went to pay, they charged us for an extra slice of pizza and one extra "boil" piece. As you may be thinking, it is their right to do so. Just wanted to share. Sorry NY Pizza that we didn't just eat our normal and let you watch and charge the extra as you wish. Not planning to go back there. In all fairness, Their food is very good!

My boyfriend and I live a few minutes from this pizza joint and we finally got the opportunity to try it out. We had the best waiter George. The moment we entered we were welcomed by George with an amazing vibe and attitude. We immediately felt welcomed. We tried the lunch buffet and it was so delicious. All of the food was fresh and flavorful. It was so good! I definitely recommend anyone to try this place out and hopefully you get George as your waiter. As we ate George was on top of it. He was consistently filling up our drinks and cleaning up the table. I watched the whole time. I saw that he was working so hard and never took a second break. Good workers are hard to find these days. He was just as pleasant to us as he was to others. I see him thriving and I couldn't help but want to write this review. The food was amazing and our waiter George made our experience so much better.
