New York Pastries & Pasteleria

A small bakery tucked away in a plaza on Old Pineville road. A friend's birthday and he's favorite is the tiramisu. Therefore I have to stop by to get one: but I have to order $30 more worth of bakery. My favorite is the small bites pies. I got a variety. And enjoyed every bit of it. My friend think the tiramisu is great. Beside small mini pies: they have custom made birthday cakes. Breads. Cookies, and soo much more. The lady who helped me is soo nice:, and it just a small bakery. You buy and you go. No place for sitting. And it's ok! I would like to come back and order a cake.

Beautiful but awful tasting! Stopped in after eating dinner nearby. The shop is full of options. I asked several questions as many items were not labeled. The clerk seemed quite annoyed. I purchased a slice of carrot cake, slice of chocolate strawberry cake, a blackberry tart and a strawberry tart which totaled $16. One bite of each was too much and right in the trash it went. The carrot cake was so dry and the icing was a cool whip type rather than traditional cream cheese, the chocolate strawberry cake tasted like dirt, my husband ate the blackberry tart (in one bite) and made a terrible face. I tasted the strawberry tart and the berry on my bite was rotten. Very disappointed because everything there looked amazing.

The New York Pastries & Pasteleria is a hidden gem tucked away in a strip mall on Exmore Street off of Old Pineville Road. I have seen NY P&P for weeks now, but was not sure what it truly was..and man was I missing out.This past Saturday I enjoyed breakfast with some friends at a near by restaurant and we decided to check out the bakery before heading out. Once we opened the door I felt like I was in a bakery in New York. The smell of bread and sweets welcomed up in. Although the bakery looks small it offers a large variety of items, from cookies, cakes, breads and even prepackaged treats everything looked amazing. Having just overstuffed ourselves we decided to split two items, an éclair and cannoli. Both were really good. However, I had my eye on the Oreo cake so I will definitely be back.

I love visiting this hidden gem in Charlotte. There a only a couple bakeries that I like and recommend but this is one of them. They offer so many types of baked goods and desserts. The food is also pretty fresh and always consistent. One of my favorite foods to eat is the flan as it is delicious and well worth the price. I also love the macarons they offer as well but you can not go wrong with anything you try. The storefront is beautiful and always very clean but the food is always packaged to-go. The family that runs the business is very kind and also well educated on baking which makes family owned business look great. All in all, I really recommend this place for any baked goods and desserts needs you may have.

ordered just a tiramisu cake with writting only, assumed it would be from the same matching colors of tiramisu cake!!!this is what i walked away with?my daughter is a mechanic, deffinately not a pink butterfly.decorations does not match any colors we used for the party!!!would you perhaps be asking your customer if decorations you thought look good is also good with a customer??if using matching cake colors is a challenging desission, perhaps should ask your customer!!also we have family members with strawbery allergy, which being on the safe side, they are not going to be enjoying the slice of cake!!!!very dissapointed....this was the 3rd time tried this bakery for cake purchase.and...its bad again....also asked for cake to be quite moist...will see how that is. was asked if i wanted to wait for cake decorations be removed, no cant wait, they wont be able to make another cake in 30 min, alergy to color icing!! ordered tiramisu!!! wip cream based layers of goodness, no icing involved!!!since the one picked up had unwanted decorations and the color nobody asked for!so dissapointing...wish you guys best of luck!

I entered the bakery because I saw the baklava sign; I have a secret love affair with baklava, do not judge me..I asked for a big piece of baklava and a small cannoli (I might as well get one of those since I'm already here).As I entered my home, I sprinted towards the kitchen to get a spoon in excitement! Excitement turned into despair.. The baklava tasted like a cheap imitation. The base was made from an assortment of nuts. Moreover, it was drenched in a sugar syrup (I prefer honey) to the point where the pastry layers had no crispness in them and there was an absence of cinnamon as well; this was the worst baklava I've ever had. As for the cannoli, it was good.Prices at this establishment are very reasonable and the staff are friendly.

This is the only New York bakery that truly is like a NY bakery with Italian pastries and more. I would highly recommend going here versus other bakeries in Charlotte.

Good lord this place is next level. I got 4 different items to bring to dinner at friend's house: a napoleon, tiramisu, cheesecake, and a chocolate cake whose name escapes me. All 4 were so good I couldn't see straight. My favorite was the napoleon or the cheesecake but all of them were amazing in very unique ways. Definitely adding this place to my dessert rotation.
