These are the best bagels we've found in Charlotte! We got an egg everything bagel (they were out of regular everything bagels when I was there - not a problem) with sausage, egg, and cheese. The bagel was flavorful with a great texture, and I loved the gooeyness of the melted cheese. This really hit the spot!I also ordered a Goodiebag, which ended up being a mix of a dozen plain, whole wheat, and (mostly) cinnamon raisin bagels. I decided to buy a 1/2 lb of sundried tomato cream cheese to enjoy with the savory bagels, and OMG I was not prepared for how good that cream cheese would be! It's loaded with tomatoes and tastes so fresh and lovely. We've been using it on wraps and in scrambled eggs too. Yum yum yum. The cinnamon raisin bagels are perfect with peanut butter and banana. I sliced them all and froze the majority, so now I can just toast up a half when the craving strikes. NY Old School Bagel has a pretty wide selection, including classics like pastrami and even pizza bagels. I'm looking forward to trying more of CLT's finest bagels!

The service was atrocious and I was simply trying to pick up an order placed online. The most frustrating part of it was I could see my order and when asked the told me to wait. I watched 3 people stare at an incorrectly made bagel before finally deciding to remake it. The entire store was filled with people waiting for online pickups. They need to figure out a system to get customers in and out faster. My second issue was they forgot two sandwiches on the order, but that fault could fall on me partially as well for trusting that the order had been completed in its entirety. The food is adequate, the service is abysmal. I would not recommend this shop until some staff changes are made.

This was a quick visit on a Friday around 10am... I understand most bagel places do the majority of their bagel business early in the morning and there may be limits choices when you come later, however I do feel like if you stay open through lunch you still have a decent amount so I was a little disappointed on the selection. It's a pretty small place, so not much room to stand and wait. There were only 5 people when I was there and we were all maneuvering around each other. It was also FREEZING in the front ("outside the kitchen area"). Staff was fine, nothing stood out about the service... they weren't rude but I don't remember them being overly helpful or friendly. Time for our bagel took a normal amount of time, however I'm still scratching my head on how my boyfriend and I ordered the same thing (BEC), just on different breads (bagel and croissant) and one was toasted and the other wasn't. So ended up having to stick mine in the oven when we got home. All in all if you're in the area and need a bagel, it'll get the job done. Overall, it was good, but nothing stood out enough to me where I'm dying to go back or recommend to others.

Some pretty big sticker shock for a walk-in order. Should have checked out the online order prices. My plain $2 bagel cost $5.19 after I added a shmear of flavored cheese. The price list does not explain how much a smear costs. And the shmear was so big it was hard to enjoy the bagel. Prices for drinks in the beverage case are not displayed so I unknowingly paid $2.75 for a canned coke The most disappointing part is the 3% charge for using a credit card, but there is no sign to explain this near the register. I will not return, although bagel was pretty good.

This is my favorite bagel place in Charlotte. I always get the Lido bagel sandwich with plain cream cheese and onion bagel and it's perfect every time, although a little messy. They do take a bit to make their food but it ensures their freshness and they typically have a smaller staff as it's a smaller place. They have a couple of tables to sit outside but otherwise this seems more like a to-go bagel place.

As a New Yorker, I wanted to see what all the hype was about. This was my first time visiting. I ordered the pastrami Reuben $14, an everything bagel with a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich (supposed to have two eggs) $8, and a plain bagel with lox, smoked salmon, capers, tomatoes, and onion.First, my breakfast bagel only had one egg instead of the two I requested and was advertised. It also came with just two small strips of bacon, which was disappointing. As for the lox bagel, it was over-processed and not worth the $18 price tag. I could have gotten a plain bagel with cream cheese and added my own toppings for less than $10.I regret paying for it, but I didn't want to hold up the line since I had already ordered my two sandwiches. On a positive note, the pastrami Reuben tasted really good.In conclusion, I'll probably stick to my classic breakfast in NY. It's not worth it here. However, I would still recommend it to my friends and family so they can form their own opinions.

I'm sure had a door dash order and the bagels were good but not enough salt on the salt bagel. Bag had a tear in it before it left the store.

I stood in line for what seemed an eternity. I ordered the 14 bagels to go, got 13 when at home. They cashier was really rude and had a chip on her shoulder. Amateur hour service and overpriced, but , delicious bagels! Nah , I don't like lines. The town could use a full service Jewish style restaurant like Chompies in Scottsdale or like a Wolfies or Racal House was in Miami. Enough of these mini take out bagel bakeries!

The best bagel in Charlotte hands down!!! As a New Yorker who recently relocated to Charlotte it's been hard to find an actual NY style bagel/deli. Bagels are fresh and the cream cheese is amazing. Great chop cheese. Service was fast and friendly. This place is a must try
