Literally took my money without telling me the show was over. Asked for a refund, they refused.

I attended a blues competition here and there were plenty seats put out for the show. The show was absolutely phenomenal. The building itself is a bit dated and the toilets in the rest room were acting up a bit I guess due to the building having some age on it. But overall decent venue to be in to enjoy what I was there for.

I attended a show here for one of my favorite artists and I loved this venue. I don't live in Charlotte so I am unfamiliar with a lot of concert venues there, but I liked how intimate this one was, and it seemed a little unconventional but it has a lot of charm. It was a small concert so we were in a small backroom area. I could tell they have larger concerts there, as I walked by on my way to the back room there was a larger stage. We were in the area where it was standing room only, but I did not mind. I had a great experience, felt safe, and the staff was nice. Would definitely see a show here again.

Enjoyed the Charlotte stop of Lone Bellow's most recent tour here and it was my first show at Neighborhood. Kind of crazy to type that given how much we love live music but that was the case. Had seats in the front of the balcony which provided a nice unobstructed view of the stage and the acoustics were just fine. Combined with the location and all the things to do in NoDa, Neighborhood Theater is an easy five stars. Look forward to another show there soon.

I first attended a show at the Neighborhood back in the mid-2000s, when I lived in the Charlotte area. The venue I remember was comfortable, with a diverse schedule of shows, and the staff was welcoming.I recently had the chance to return to the venue for the first time in well over a decade. There's obviously been growth in the area, but from the exterior the Neighborhood didn't look much different. Inside was a different matter altogether. Service staff, especially at the bar, were unfriendly and even a bit rude. And what happened to the seats? I get that shows here aren't that expensive, but surely the owners should have replaced the fixed seating rather than just throwing some uncomfortable chairs out there. This place has the potential to be a great performance site once again, but to do so they'll need to make personnel changes and invest in the facilities. It might also help if they'd be more careful in aiming those stage lights so patrons don't get blinded on occasion...

I attended neighborhood theatre for a gospel concert of Jonathan McReynolds & Mali Music. The acoustics were adequate for a small venue. We were crowded. I was impressed with the enforcement of COVID protocol. They required proof of vaccination, and all I had was my email confirmation from getting my second shot. So I was in by the skin of my teeth. It was a sold out event and VERY crowded. They had an open bar, yes at a gospel concert. The staff was friendly. No complaints. Neighborhood Theatre is a smaller venue with more intimate vibe. Usually standing room only. If you're concerned about being too close to people, do not come here. For most events, they also have a few tables that you can buy if you don't want to stand up.

Great icon to Charlotte. Love the intimate concerts that's this venue offers. The staff are very friendly and complimented my hair & outfit. The bartenders entertained my buzzed questions about can art. It feels like a local family vibe. I love the smaller concerts so you are able to appreciate your band up close and not feel overcrowded like other venues. The sound, lights, and setup are great.

Great acts, Charlotte Blues Society works out of here. Not much seating, reserve early. We bought last two seats available, in a balcony area.. Balcony needs work, janky. Great music, not enough seating. Balcony is bad.

I had a extremely dissatisfied experience watching one of my favorite bands at this venue. Recently I visited this venue for the first time. I can safely say it is my one and only trip. The event management structure was senile at best. I have been to many, many concerts, and never seen miss management to this level. The bar was rude and understaffed, the facility quality was massively underwhelming, and the place reeked of pot in certain areas. Much of the crowd seemed to be underage, as well as obnoxious. Drunkards were spilling drinks and causing havoc the entire time. I would not recommend this venue to anyone looking for a half decent concert experience. If your favorite band is coming and this is the venue, find another date, book a hotel room and make it a weekend trip. Don't ruin what you believe will be a great concert with a a shitty venue experience.
