NC Tavern

Came in late one Wednesday night after most every other non-fast food restaurant was closed. I was quite surprised to be wanded by a medal detector prior to entry, but safety first. There was a DJ playing music a little too loud for my enjoyment but service was decent. I was a bit skeptical of how the food would be but it was AMAZING. I ordered the calamari (forgot to take a photo before I started eating it) and grilled shrimp. I also tried my friends' order of the sea food bucked and chicken "tenders" which are massive and look more like chicken cutlets.Everything was well seasoned and delectable!

Went during a major football game showing and it was pretty packed in there. If planning to go during a special event, plan to go early or reserve a table. Was hard to even order just a fountain drink from the bar. Some one the bartenders were rude and not recognizing people around the bar trying to order. Finally got a seat at a table and the waitress was barely anywhere to be found. Order wings fried hard with sauce on the side and onion rings. Onion rings weren't served with ketchup nor ketchup just readily on the table. Also the sauce I request with my chicken wasn't correct. As mentioned waitress was hard to find in order to get correct order. Even when asking for a box and check, waitress took an hour to come back with that which to me means you don't want my money. At the time we sat at our table the restaurant had cleared out from the football crowd. Will not go back on a busy night as service is not the greatest.

Attended the venue for a comedy show. First time there and will be returning soon. The food was good. Everyone in my party said they enjoyed the food. Some even ordered food to go. I love chicken wings and they nailed it. Flavor right and chicken right amount of crispy.

They have a special until 6:00. I ordered the fried fish, shrimp and fries for $10.00. I sat at the bar, the bartender was friendly. The restaurant definitely needs some upgrades. But you can't beat the price, of food and drinks. Multiple TVs, prefect spot to watch sports and good music.

I hadn't been to NC Tavern in several years and decided to drop in because I was in the area. My sister was visiting from out of town so we just wanted to grab a quick bite and chill. The atmosphere was super relaxed when we first arrived. No one was seated at the bar so we grabbed a chair. The bartender was attentive, personable, and knows how to make good and tasty drinks. My sister is celebrating dry January and "Q" kept the mocktails flowing for her, and the cocktails for me. I ordered a seafood boil with crab legs, shrimp, and mussels. My sister ordered calamari, and a fish basket. I found it interesting that the calamari came out with onions and peppers on it but clearly the chef knew that the peppers would bring out the flavors in the calamari. Everything was delicious. The bartender, "Q" made the experience pleasurable because she was friendly and she held the entire bar down by herself even when it became packed with Cowboy fans before the other bartenders arrived to assist her. I will be back soon because my go to is "Hef's" but the long drive isn't ideal. The environments are similar and the customer service is great.

Chicken wings were bomb. The food is decent. Service is slow, but there's limited servers. There's enough TVs and space to watch any game. It's a lax vibe.

Great service! Very attentive and quick. On a Wednesday the bar is the highlight of the Tavern! Please bring back the bag holders under the bar, they were convenient and helpful! Also the chicken on the chicken nachos could be a little more than what was given for $14! Don't skimp out on the meat! Very good otherwise. Love the vibe and the new look. Also, we miss the DJ during the week. He had great energy and a dope vibe if he had a new music selection! Keep it up!

I go there for football watch parties! They just remodeled the lounge area with large tvs and comfortable seating. Love the atmosphere! Also love the fried shrimp and wings!

I really like NC Tavern, it was a nice space for dancing. The drinks and food served at the bar was absolutely fabulous. Me and my two sisters really enjoyed ourselves.

Pests and chaos! A friend and I were looking for late night food and stumbled on this place. The music was extremely too loud and we left with our ears ringing. It wasn't as loud when we got there but it was apparent the dj turned it up. It took forever to get a server and it was not to their servers fault. It looked like they had one woman serving one side of the restaurant. We thought about placing a to go order i stead and noticed the prices were higher than what was listed on the menu. I got wings and they were just ok. After me and some other patrons saw a large cockroach on the dining room floor! A friend of mine was there before me and mentioned a spider almost landing on one of them.
