I've never been a NASCAR fan, but I was thoroughly captivated by the NASCAR Hall of Fame. Spanning three floors, it's a treasure trove of history, cool cars, legendary drivers, and interactive games. We arrived at the entrance and didn't have to wait in a long line. After passing through the checkpoint, we headed to the registration booth to sign up.Our journey began in the grand hall, where we were greeted by iconic NASCAR cars from the 1940s onwards. A giant screen displayed our names and pictures, and there were even spots to stand and feel the curvature of the NASCAR tracks. The ramp led us to the second floor, where we found the incredible Hall of Fame room. Every single NASCAR Hall of Fame driver was displayed on the walls, creating a truly awe-inspiring experience.Interactive activities were also available, including a chance to drive for the fastest lap, compete in a simulated NASCAR track inside a life-size car, and even experience a pit stop crew. My fastest lap was a respectable 31 seconds, placing me 25th out all the participants, just 1.2 seconds behind the fastest time. The third floor showcased the historical milestones and accomplishments of NASCAR by each decade. As we made our way to the gift shop, we were surrounded by an array of fascinating NASCAR merchandise, including apparel, magnets, posters, and scaled models of real racing cars. I couldn't resist buying a car to cherish the memories of this incredible visit.

I don't know much about race cars but it's a fun attraction for sure. They have simulators for people to try. I crashed into the wall during practice and the actual simulation drive lol. The museum is full of history regarding the race car drivers, trophies and their stories. Good place for adults and kids to check it out.

Great museum, honors the sport with tons to look at. Really appreciated the more obscure cars like the goodys dash Celica or the pintys series dodge. Don't bother paying for the sim package you're just going to get wrecked over and over again by some 8 year old. Not worth the money or 20-30 minutes of waiting since you won't even get off the pace lap lol. Just play iracing at home

The nascar hall of fame is really an experience that any race lover needs to have. I myself am not a race lover lol, but I was there to bring my son. He had the absolute best day ever there. He drove the simulation for three hours and was the last person at the museum. To say that he loved it there is a huge understatement. Such a wonderful collection of memorabilia and facts.

The NASCAR Hall of Fame was a recommended "must do" by friends for our trip to Charlotte. Although we haven't watched NASCAR in years, this museum is filled with a lot of history, so we knew most of the "players" in the Hall of Fame and exhibits. There are several interactive things to do (e.g. pit stop, simulator, etc.), some of which cost extra, some don't. We did have a great time and spent about 2.5 hours there. Two recommendations for management - 1) More seating throughout the facility. There were times one of us wanted to sit and rest for a bit while the other read exhibits. 2) A coat check would be great! In the winter it is nice and toasty inside, so winter coats are not necessary, and the coats are very cumbersome to carry around. We would have liked to have taken pictures, but couldn't because our hands were full.

One of the best museums I have ever been to! My son and I bought the $49 package which entitles you to admission, stimulator experience (not to miss!), meal voucher and a $10 credit in the gift shop. It's the best deal in my opinion.First, the museum has thousands of artifacts and many, many interactive exhibits. There are lots of things to do for children as well. We went the day after Christmas when the doors opened up at 10 AM and there weren't many people there until around 11:30 or 12. I think my son read everything there was to read and it took us a good 3 hours to go through the museum. The meal voucher includes an entre, chips and a drink. You get three choices: hotdog, hamburger or a BBQ sandwich. For those of you that read my reviews you know what I chose: BBQ sandwich. Now, let me tell you, I am no fan of Carolina BBQ but fortunately, the one they served was without that nasty vinegar-based BBQ sauce but rather without sauce and was quite good They had individual Sweet Baby James sauce cups. It was actually pretty good and an ample portion on my sandwich.I highly recommend going to the museum. Don't miss it if you are anywhere close to Charlotte and have at least a minimal interest in NASCAR racing. It is really a nice experience that highlights not only the members of the Hall of Fame but also the technical aspects of racing and most all other aspects of NASCAR as well.

This place was easily my favorite attraction in Charlotte. I am not even a fan of this sport and I enjoyed going here. NASCAR has been around over 75 years. This place honors famous drivers, owners, broadcasters and crew chiefs. As soon as you enter, you will see the Glory Road, which showcases 18 cars and tracks from throughout the sport's history. The next floors feature some of the following: -The Hall of Honor, which has displays for all the inductees-A race car simulator and a pit crew simulator, which is great fun for the kids-Glass enclosed cases which display decades worth of trophies, uniforms, newspaper articles, medals and moreTheir collection of everything is simply massive. And because it is a unique and one of a kind attraction, all visitors to Charlotte should definitely stop by.

This was a very cool experience. Too bad we did not have time to tour the entire museum. We did do the virtual race and that was fun.

I forgot to check in - BUT I PROMISE I VISITED THE NASCAR HALL OF FAME! And even though I know nothing about nascar, and was frankly disinterested in nascar, I now have a new respect for the sport and I learned A LOT! We bought the general admission tickets - with hard pass (it's free with general admission - make sure you get one). There are tons of selfie spots!!! And the staff truly love nascar and helping you experience everything!!! The hard pass allows you to do lots of interactive elements inside the museum. The museum is not large but it covers a tremendous amount of history. I would say even if you read all the plaques this wouldn't take more than 4 hours. We spent 90 minutes and felt we saw and experienced the whole thing! We loved the broadcasting exhibit it is very interactive. (We did not have time to see the movie - so I can't speak to how long that would have taken). I highly recommend this museum.

As my boyfriend and I rated it: 5/5, must do, cool cars, cool history, and cool simulator! And sensory friendly! Even though I'm not a big "fan" of Nascar (aka I know nothing about it besides that cars race around the track to win). This place was absolutely amazing. You first walk in and have to buy the tickets, we got Combo #1 which included the general admission, the pass for all-day simulator rides, and the lanyard key pass. The combo was about $35 per person (I think?)You learn all about the history of how racing and Nascar came about, some of the major key developers through the years, and can go through the exhibits of the Hall of Fame, inside of the cars, the beginning of racing to even today's racing. For the Disney Pixar Cars fans: you'll see a very friendly face at the museum on the second floor, and can take lots of pictures with him too! The real driver that inspired the 'fabulous Doc Hudson' is Herb Thomas, you'll see his stuff throughout the museum but not a lot. They've also got the car that resembles Dinoco's The King, down on the main floor. Absolutely amazing to have the racing simulator and a pit challenge as if you were really one of the pit crew. The simulator was absolutely amazing! You can choose which car you want, and you drive against 14 people. I'm not the best at racing, but my strategy was 'don't die' and somehow I ended up in second place (which was pretty amazing I didn't crash besides when I was hit once). Definitely worth the trip if you're in the area, a local, or doing a road trip! We came on Saturday around 10 am/11 am, and it wasn't too packed but not too empty. Also for anyone who needs this info - they are a sensory-inclusive location, they have several areas throughout the whole museum with quiet rooms, signs for headphones in noisy areas, and a few other signs that were smaller areas for close proximity. I absolutely loved that they have these signs and a sign on the front door as well. Parking - they've got the parking garage right around the corner from it. They've got the inside of the elevator labeled, and even floor signage on how to get ti the museum. (Definitely appreciated that since I'm not the best with directions).
