This is a great take out spot if you need a good dinner! I'm partial to the fried pork chop, which they cook when you order. It's crispy & delicious. I rotate between collards, yams, mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese for my sides. The Mac is not dry, and not runny, it's just right. The yams are sooo soft and sweet. You have options of plate sizes, and both are reasonable for the amount of food you're given!

Lived in Charlotte 4 years and just found Nana Morrison's!!! So good. Brought me right back to our roots. Great soul food. Had Fried pork chop, cabbage and collards. Only thing better was the banana pudding. Do yourself a favor and go try it.

Food, prices and the friendly service are always great and consistent every time! Also a very clean and inviting atmosphere. Phenomenal restaurant

This is a great takeout spot! We got 2 small plates, both with fried chicken, mac & cheese, yams, and a cornbread muffin. The portions were generous! The fried chicken was very flavorful and juicy. The mac & cheese is some of the best I've had in Charlotte! Tastes like my mom's. The yams were very sweet and brown sugar-y. Yum! Overall we had a very tasty meal and will be back to try more. I can't speak to the in-person service or restaurant ambiance, but they packaged the food nicely, which I think says a lot!

My best friend took me here for a early dinner on Sunday. I got the small plate, 1 meat with 2 sides. The fried Catfish, Mac & cheese and collard greens was my selection. They have so many side options, chicken stuffing, candied yams, curry chicken rice, black eye peas, mash potatoes, green beans, pinto beans, coleslaw, macaroni salad and few more.Small plate is $16 and the large(2 meats with 2 sides) $24Cafeteria style service. Food was really good. I would return.

If you were wondering is the food good? We went two days in a row! How's that for an answer! We have actually visited their other location but this is much closer to us so it will be in more frequent rotation! It's spacious- clean - bright - and everyone is super friendly! They do offer patio seating as well for the warmer days! Nanna offers many options and a daily special- they are generous with portions and everything tastes fresh and like it was made by mom. WIN! Desserts range from pies to cakes to puddings fresh made each day! Prices are reasonable!

Nice, friendly employees. My catfish was cooked too long I believe because it was mushy. My greens were a tad too spicy for me. The older I get spicy is harder to take. I hope these things can be improved on, especially with the higher pricing.

Extremely overpriced for what amounts to cafeteria food. At least 2x may 3x what it should cost. Did I say overpriced.
