My best friend brought me here after he told me it was relatable to the mystery shack from gravity falls lol. I had a lot of fun. I loved the story. Our guide was very personable. I was lucky I got a small group of people. Including myself and my friend there was only 4 others and it made for a nicer experience I think. The room inside that's tilted I immediately felt dizzy but It wasn't horrible so make sure you're ready for a weird head feeling. The swing was cool. I thought I was gonna break that shit The room with all the mystery stuff was cool too. I am quite gullible and it made for a fun time. I tried to get in the body bubble but my giant tatas just popped it right in front of everyone so that was fun We had fun with the smaller bubbles and the little museum tour was alot of fun too. We bought a couple things and all in all I had a lot of fun. I just love new experiences, and this was definitely new for me

What a fun and unique spot! We stayed just outside Charolette and the staff had never heard of mystery hill! This little hole in the wall spot was so much fun! We threw tomahawks, mined for gems, and did the gravitational anomaly. The summer special was well worth the price and tickets never expire! So when we come back, we can do the museums and other things we didn't do. They also have a cute cafe with yummy lunch and the floats, omg hundreds of flavors of drinks from bug barf to normal pops. There was nothing that wasn't fun here! Bring your sunscreen and water bottle because time flies when you're having fun!

This place is so neat!! You have to experience this at least one time. If you have vertigo I would recommend taking nausea medicine as it can make you sick. The kids & adults loved this place!!

Fun place to throw axes (tomahawks). Pros: -safe environment-friendly, welcoming employees-masks are required-they show you two ways to properly throw the axes (their description does not match how we were taught at a different axe throwing company)-mystery hill offers other attractions (we only did the axe throwing)Cons:-outdoor so plan accordingly for the weather-axes are very used so the axe head slides down after each throw-pricy ($20 for 30 throws)We wanted to try the knife throwing, however, they stop selling passes at 5 pm since they close at 6 pm. Overall, we had a fun time and enjoyed learning how to throw the axes and then competing against each other.

My wife and I perused the quaint general store attached to the ticket office and then did the heritage museum tour. All staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating. Mara, will curate your heritage museum visit. She was wonderfully polite and had an extensive understanding of the history of the exhibit.

This is our favorite activity that we've done in Boone!!! Their customer service was incredible. Every activity was very fun and memorable. We had 4 adults and 4 kids and split 4 basic packages and 4 of the all inclusive packages. The kids did the gem mining and the adults did the axe throwing but they even let everyone do the bull riding since no one was waiting. My favorite thing of all was the old time photo. The experience of trying on outfits alone was fun. But the photographer was able to get a perfect picture of my 2 year old... amazing. The photographer was so helpful as the baby wanted to try different dresses and brooches, hats, earrings, guns ... everything . My only tip is make sure they have a photo slot available for you before paying bc the photos take an hour. they only had a 5pm available when we got there. We choose to come back the next day when the kids were fresh and that was a good decision as

I tend to be fairly gullible so I was sucked right into the story they tell you about this place when you enter, and when you are on the "tour." The guides/employees are definitely well trained at telling you the "history" of the place in a way that makes it feel like you are visiting an actual historical place with a strange anomaly that only exists in a few places around the country. I had visited those illusion houses that put everything on an angle and make you feel like you're standing at an angle as a kid but knew they were an illusion. It wasn't until after we did the tour here that I realized it's ultimately great story telling and not anything mysterious. I strongly recommend making sure your kids know it's all for fun so they don't go telling their friends and teachers about a place in NC where gravity doesn't work like it should.Other than the unfortunate realization that I had been duped, this place is very cute and has a lot of fun activities. My biggest complaint really is, if you buy the package that gets you access to everything, including paying for the old time photo packages, be prepared to sit around and waste some time. There is only one room and photographer taking the photos and they spend a LOT of time with each group (in addition to the time it takes for the people to pick clothes and change into them). They'll tell you that you have a reservation for a specific time but, in our experience, they weren't anywhere near ready for us. We arrived 5 minutes before our "reservation" and the place was packed. We checked in while another family was in getting their photos taken. We finally left after waiting 30 minutes and that group still being in the photo room, along with about 20 people in the waiting area. We were told we could just come back and we'd be in the system to get our photos any time so we will see, if when we do return to the area, how things go. Of everything on the property, we definitely enjoyed the axe throwing the most. My son basically found a new hobby and has asked that I get him involved in it locally as soon as possible. Alas, it began to rain about 20 minutes into our hour so we had to stop early (safety reason).Overall, if you're up for some ridiculous fun, I'd say this place is worth a stop but, think carefully about what you'd like to do rather than being sucked into the packages that include everything. We paid $112 for the two of us and really, our experience didn't net us feeling like we'd got our monies worth. Really young kiddos will love the handful of silly things to play with after the "tour" but beyond that, if we go back, it'll be to claim our photos we never got, and do the axe throwing only.

I visited Mystery Hill with my family while going up to the Blue Ridge Mountains. It was a really fun experience and we would highly recommend it, especially the gravity anomaly tour. We had James Carter as our tour guide and he was very funny and charismatic, would definitely recommend him as well! Overall a great fun and learning experience for a the family.

I do not recommend if you want it do something fun. when you bye tickets and reserve a spot like you have already taken a spot they will just give it away like its nothing! Me and my family walk in there and they ask if we got tickets online you say yes and they waste your time looking up your reservation that they gave away and tell you they are out of room. so 0/10
