If I could give this 100 stars I would. Small but soooo fun. Worth every penny for all the laughs. My friend was visiting from Scotland, and we were giggling so much our mommy bladders were working overtime to contain the pee. Grab some friends you love to laugh with and head here. Lots of fun stuff to do and pictures to take!

I had a fun birthday here spending the day feeling like I was back in elementary playing around with optical illusions! This is a fun 2-person/group-event. However, it is still very much enjoyable solo because there is staff scattered throughout the exhibits who are there to assist you with photo-ops (or figuring out some of the exhibits in my case!) I would say plan to spend 40-60 minutes to comfortably get thru the exhibits. There are small lockers available (I do not believe there was additional charge, just have to ask staff if you need a lock/key). The only downside of the day that I visited was that there were a few closed exhibits. When I reserved there was an option for regular admission (picking a set time to arrive) or flexible time admission (for more $, of course). I suggest just picking a set time to be there and not pay the additional for flexible admission because at the time I visited with some of the exhibits closed it wouldn't have been worth the additional fee. Still I recommend visiting, definitely lots of fun!

There are a lot of mixed reviews on this place, I went tonight with my family. I would recommend to go see it for yourself, great for Instagram pics. We had a lot of fun, but it is what you make it. Some props I would say stay away from if you are sensitive to light or epileptic. I used it as a teaching method for my kids which they enjoyed. The price is a little high($29 adults, $25 kids) for what they have, the place is small.

This museum was incredible fun. My only complaint is that is should have been a bigger one. Great for all ages! The staff was very helpful and patient , also very engaging. I'd return with friends again.

The Museum of Illusions in Charlotte was a total hit with our family! We had a blast there, laughing our way through all the cool illusions and learning some mind-bending stuff along the way. It's super interactive, so everyone got involved and had a great time. Definitely a must-do if you're looking for some fun with the fam!

Staff was friendly, don't waste your money. I was underwhelmed and disappointed. They oversell tickets, way too packed in there. SAVE YOUR MONEY, ps the parking structure next door is very unorganized.

This was a fun experience for us! My friend and I wanted to get into something fun and decided to come to the museum of illusions. There is a parking garage right next to it, tho we were disappointed to learn that they don't validate parking, bummer!...I've always wanted to go to the one in Chicago when I lived there and just never got around to going, it was in the heart of the city and I just got to overwhelmed with the complications of parking and never made it. The exhibits are fun and trippy. They play on your mind at first, but soon you figure out how they made the illusion! I love that the staff are willing to take your photos and even offer suggestions for poses! Luckily we went on a weekday and so we didn't experience the crowds like most yelpers did. I could see that being very uncomfortable since this space is not that big. We got some really cute photos and had a great time, we both were a bit disappointed that there really weren't that many exhibits, and we went through the entire museum pretty fast. Having to pay for parking plus tickets for the museum which took us only maybe half an hour or no more than 45 minutes to complete, made me feel a type of way! Lol, we wanted more! I'll go back on a date, maybe. I'm glad I got to experience it and check it off my bucket list!

I went with my husband after seeing dozens of videos and pictures online, and it's basically just a place to have a photoshoot. The majority of the illusions only work if you take a picture and aren't actually illusions you see at the museum. Its also very small and VERY expensive. It was $60 for just the two of us. If you want to take cool pictures, then it might be cool to go, but I don't think its worth it just to walk around.

We bought tickets in advance for a Saturday afternoon. We had a 73-, 49-, 44-, and 12-year old. Thankful for the parking garage directly beside the museum. Don't think this is just for kids!! We saw very few children there! The museum was super crowded and a very small space. So much of it was impossible to see due to the sheer number of people everywhere. Anything along the wall was lost because it was covered by people. However!! The places to get pictures made up for it! We all enjoyed being in crazy pictures and made so many memories together. Staff was on hand to direct you to capture the best photos. I couldn't believe their patience. (Only one girl was grouchy and rude. Everyone else was stellar!!) it's a place I'd like to go back and visit with fewer crowds. Highly recommend!!
