Mr. Seafood

Walked in and was immediately greeted by the friendly man behind the counter, which I found out was the owner. He was so nice and helpful answering my questions. I opted for the fried shrimp basket, was so delish. He gave me dude of the spicy butter for dipping and it was so good, just the right amount of heat without being overbearing. Place was clean as well. They do have a few seats to be able to dine in. Truly enjoyed my meal.

Very good best I had! Delicious! Service was very welcoming, knowledgeable on best way to order what I wanted exactly to appease my family! I recommend this place if your in the area even if you your not in the area it's well worth the drive love it!! I'll be back

Very expensive but I love the shrimp basket with fries. And the lemonade I usually get two, but you have to try it.

Great takeout seafood spot. I recommend ordering ahead and taking your meal to go. This is my favorite spot for fried seafood. I usually have the fish(flounder) and shrimp basket. The hush puppies and fries are always a fresh side staple.

Tried this via DoorDash based on yelp reviews. Never again. The shrimp has a very weird texture almost like mashed potatoes. The smell from the bag was very fishy. And most importantly the taste is absolutely awful. Extremely bland !! So dissatisfied and disappointed. Never again.

I'm going to start by saying that this review is well overdue...I found Mr. Seafood on IG & the pictures were enticing. I'm something like a seafood connoisseur & it takes more than good pictures to tempt my palate. One day curiosity & hunger got the best of me. I was shopping in the area & decided to see if the food lived up to the pictures. I ordered a shrimp dinner as a tester. It was good, but I was starving that day, so I decided to try them again a week later & ... it was actually better than the 1st time. I waited another week & tried the shrimp dinner again & it was just as good! The consistency piqued my interest & I decided to order what I've been wanting all this time for my birthday (I had to build my confidence up) ... 2 Lobster tails & shrimp dinner. I told the owner it was my birthday & I told him exactly how I liked my Lobster, he said he understood & he could do it. I waited patiently hoping that he understood the assignment, because I just invested my hard earned $ to treat myself. The ride home seemed like forever! I couldn't wait to open my bag to see what he made happen (the suspense). I opened my bag & it looked absolutely amazing! I could only hope that it tasted as good as it looked & it did! The Lobster tails were so good, tender, & juicy. I was experiencing euphoria @ it's BEST!!! I couldn't finish the rest of my meal. I was completely fulfilled. My weekend got a little busy & I couldn't get to my leftovers for a few days, but when I warmed them up, they were just as good as the 1st time! You know the food is good when the leftovers are delicious a few days later.If you're looking for fresh seafood takeout, Mr. Seafood is a great choice! The owner is friendly, professional, & he listens to your requests & feedback. Treat yourself!

Today I ordered take-out from Mr. Seafood Charlotte. They do not have dine-in or sit down available at this time. So be prepared to eat in your car or wait until you get home. I couldn't wait because it was hot, fresh and smelled delicious. I was truly impressed with the combo portion size and prices. The jumbo shrimp, crablegs, corn, potatoes and eggs were covered in their delicious spicy garlic butter sauce. I ordered an extra butter sauce on the side for dipping. To wash it all down I ordered a fresh fruit lemonade. I will definitely be back when I'm on that side of town.

This particular trip I visited during Charlotte Black Restaurant Week. I ordered the Basket on the website. For the special, its $5 more than normal because an starter is added on. You also get a drink and dessert for free. My food was ready when promised still hot. All was good. The batter on the seafood is a little salty. And the fish was super thin. Enough for 2 ppl easily!

This location is very small and is only doing take out right now, there is no dine-in seating. All of the food looks so good in these pictures on Yelp, but I found the taste to be lacking. My fish did not smell fresh and I only ate a few bites of it. I did eat the shrimp and they were fine, but tasted previously frozen. The batter did not stay on either. The fries had a frozen taste as well.Service was very nice and helpful.All in all, I was disappointed with the food, but will return to take a shot at the garlic shrimp or crab.

I can't believe I never noticed this place in the corner, near Tisun's, before today! Russell --who's very friendly and provided excellent customer service--said they've been there about 4 years! Anyway, I ordered whiting and shrimp. I was very happy when I got home and opened my plate. Everything was well seasoned and cooked perfectly. Good food at a decent price. I will definitely get take-out again if I'm in the area. Thanks, Russell...and the butter sauce you recommended really hit the spot!
