I tried Morelia at the South End location a year ago (2 years?)...and noticed their new booth at the Birkdale Village, so decided to check it out.I tried their Vanilla Bean Ice Cream w/ Chocolate Dip & Nuts. Seemed that their dips and toppings were a bit limited at this location? In any case, it was a cool, delicious treat.The reason why I can't drop 4-5 stars is this. It pales in comparison to the Pop Bar (at least for me). Seems to me that Pop Bar features a better set-up, with many more choices...better presentation...and it's cheaper. Granted, Pop Bar specializes in Gelato, not ice cream. Somehow, I prefer the Gelato on a stick versus the Ice Cream as well.I enjoyed the treat...but I just felt that it was overpriced for what it was. Not sure if it's something I'll be running back for...but who knows?

located on the east end of the promenade near the cinema and the pizza shop Morelia offers a coldy-cold treat on a stick with a matching tray to catch stray fixings that might otherwise fall by the wayside or mess your outfit :-\ really, this is way better...we came past while out for a stroll waiting for a table at the noodle shop and since the weather cooperated we found ourselves back here looking for a little after dinner sweet! after kinda figuring things out MLB got a chocolate half-dip triple chocolate paleta (choco-fudge-brownie) coated with cookie dust while I opted for the colourful flavorments of hazelnut half-dip greek yogurt berries with fruity pebbles (counts as two fruits! right?)found seats nearby and sat under the trees under the stars listening to some light overhead, making goo-goo eyes, and enjoying icy creamy treats in Birkdale...FYI: got me a sack o' rewards for signing up and taking a survey and being an all-around swell guy so a week later I'm relaxing with a freshly blow-torched s'mores cookies and cream paleta for exactly nothing and I still have two paletas in the dock :-)

This was so good! It was definitely hard to choose which flavor and toppings I wanted because they all sounded good. The staff at the location that day was very nice and helpful and made a few suggestions. I went with the yogurt and berries paleta and for toppings I did white chocolate and Oreo crumbs. The paleta was fresh and tasty. If you are in the area, give it a try.

I stopped in Birkdale Village the other day and got this and the small donuts next door. They were both good, but if I had to choose between the two, I would choose the paleta. You might be asking: What are paletas?They are a Mexican-styled ice pop with a lot of natural flavors. I think they mix fruit, yogurt, and water. It's something like that. I might only be 50% right but I have not provided any false information. Service was good but price is a bit high. Taste and refreshingness make up for the cost. Overall, highly recommended.

Wow. Such an amazing dessert. I had been so curious about this spot ever since it opened and WAM BAM I AM THIS Mexican frozen dessert is clean tasting, fresh, and has just the right amount of sweetness!!! There are sooooo many options to choose from when it comes to the ice cream (vegan options too) and then there's also sooo many great choices for step 2- the dipping and finally step 3 the toppings! I got the pistachio ice cream with the waffle option wrapped around my ice cream like a tight squeeze, dipped in dark chocolate and topped with peanut pieces! It had the crunch, the sweetness, and the staff working provide the magic!

Super cute new kiosk in birkdale. They have an outdoor walk up window where you can order your paleta.I got the Sicilian pistachio with a Nutella drizzle. It was nice and creamy and not hard to bite into. The Nutella added a perfect thick and creamy texture to the paleta.

I went for the first time as a Yelp elite event and couldn't wait to go back!I did a sauna at Beem and then decided to get another because it's so good. This time I went with a cookie and cream one and had it dipped in dark chocolate and then topped with Oreo.Can't wait for the weather to warm up a bit and enjoy these more often.

Attended the Yelp Elite event at Morelia Gourmet Paletas. The service staff was so friendly. They took the time to explain your options and provided suggestions based upon your fave flavor palette. I got the Cookies and Cream with Cookie Butter & Almonds. Soooo good!!!! The cookie butter was amazing. I will definitely come back for the Strawberry Cheesecake. You must try. Birkdale Village has added a surprising frozen treat place that can be enjoyed year round. Morelia Ice Cream Shop was a hit with me. I love chocolate so I choose Belgium chocolate with cookie batter dip with graham crackers it was amazing. I loved that it didn't melt quick so I had time to savor and no mess. The staff explained the concept throughly and guided me to the perfect combination for me. I will be back
