My partner and I visited this place right when they opened on Friday night. There is a parking lot attached to the building and we paid a small fee. We parked on level one and had to walk around around the building but I have heard that if you park on level two, you can exit right to the main doors. Our server was amazing, he guided us through both menus and helped to answer all our questions. This is a great place to go if you have a group of people who are feeling a variety of dishes or dealing with picky eaters. There is a lot to choose from and I appreciated that they also have about 5 Mocktails that you could order.I ordered the red curry with shrimp and it was very tasty. The bowl looks small but with all the vegetables and shrimp they put in along with the rice... it ends up being a good sized portion. Overall great place to go.

Went to Moon Thai as part of a large group for a birthday dinner. I was 30 minutes late but our server was just as attentive to me as she was everyone else in the group. She put my drink order in pretty immediately and I didn't have to flag her down or get her attention to put in my food order. My food also came out pretty quickly after the rest of the group got their orders. I got the shrimp pad Thai. My server made sure to ask my desired spice level on a scale from 1-4. I said 2 and it was enough spice to make you feel somewhat warm while still getting the flavors of the food. We also got a cake for the birthday girl, and as far as I know we were not charged extra for the kitchen to hold onto the cake.

Visiting from Atlanta and decided to check this place out. Amazing service, super friendly staff. I sat by the bar by myself and was treated very kindly by everyone. All the food came out HOT which was a plus because you knew it was fresh but dont rush to jump in because you might burn your tongue. The pork dumplings were very good and the slightly crispy outside was perfect. The duck curry was well seasoned with a great amount of duck.I also opted to get a mocktail for dry January and the coconut drink definitely gave mojito vibes without the alcohol.Major shoutout to Sophia who I briefly got a chance to speak to and the other young man, completely forgot his name but was a host and at the bar as well!

To celebrate a friend's birthday, we gathered at Moon Thai & Japanese Cuisine. I decided to explore their Thai menu.AppetizerSteamed Shrimp Dumplings - A delightful way to kick off the meal. These dumplings, paired with a dip in soy sauce, were a perfect palate opener.Main CourseVolcano Fish with Sticky Rice - This dish featured a whole fried snapper topped with a flavorful red chili sauce. The crispy skin and tender, perfectly cooked fish were a treat. The spice levels range from 1 to 5; I opted for level 4, which I found surprisingly mild. The sticky rice was an excellent accompaniment, especially when paired with the sauce.DessertMochi - Unfortunately, the mochi was a disappointment. It was served warm and had a grainy texture, which detracted from the experience.LibationsSparkling Raichi - A must-try! This house special was light, refreshing, and absolutely delicious. #GratuityAdded#MoonThaiandJapanese #CharlotteEats #CLTDateNight #CLTThaifood #CharlotteFoodScene #Snapper #NYECLT#charlottefood #charlottenc #cltfoodie #charlottefoodie #queencity #Mochi #NewYearCharlotte #charlottesgotalot #eatdrinkclt #exploreclt #charlottefoodies #bestfoodcharlotte #cltfoodies #issawrap #cltfoodbloggers #discoverclt #cltguide #charlottefoodguide #NewYear #charlottefoodblogger

It's no secret I love Moon Thai! It's legit our go to spot, so when a good friend of mine told me she was having her birthday dinner here, we couldn't wait. This trip was no different than any other. There's always great service and great vibes! The inside is so unique with it's dim lighting and heavy decor. You kind of discover something new every time you go. I ordered the Moon Thai wings; these are SO good, crispy and saucey with a little kick of spice! This trip I ordered the Geisha combo again and absolutely loved it. The fish was so fresh and delicious. I love having so many yummy things in front of me to eat lol. My boyfriend ordered the lamb chops for the first time and he loved them! I tried a bite and it was incredible. Moon Thai always does an amazing job!! Really can't recommend them enough!

This place is a vibe! I've come here several times and even had two birthday parties here! With a mistype of both Thai and Japanese food, there's something for everyone. I personally think their b Thai food is better than their Japanese food, but I'm also pretty hard to please when it comes to fresh sashimi. It is a tad pricey and it's not a place I recommend for you go-to Thai take out. Save it for girls' night, date night, etc. Service is always on point and I'm always impressed with how they handle big groups of people. Go ahead and give this place a try for your next night out!

Great date night spot. Ambiance looks very upscale, service is great and serves authentic Thai food. This will be a go to date spot even if we stop for drinks. Glad we found this gem.

This used to be my favorite go to place. Unfortunately the service and food has gone down hill. It was giving weird vibes when ordering and very fake care with service. Our table ask for a request and the staff made it seem like a burden. We also asked for a side of sauces and they never came back to check on the table. They did seem understaffed. Overall for the price and what you get it's not really a place that meets the standards anymore.

My daughter and I stopped in near closing hour for lunch and our server was so kind. They have a large menu of both Thai and Japanese, she had spring rolls, I had sushi and some miso soup. Food was served quickly and we enjoyed! The sushi was Americanized but high quality.
