Had an opportunity to try this food truck while it was at Pilot Brewing. A friend mentioned it to us, so when we saw the online schedule we decided to head over. The wait after we placed our order was reasonable, and the women working in the truck were super friendly. We had a great experience - they explained the dishes to us after we shared it was our first visit. I ordered the meat sambusa and chicken tibs. I was torn between chicken and mogogo go tibs but I went with chicken. They were good, but I thought the dish was slightly greasy. I wasn't familiar with one of the sides, but the other was cabbage and pretty good. This was my first time trying Ethiopian food, I'll try it again.

Heard about Mogogo Eatery food truck from a friend, who highly suggested trying it out. Well...ended up trying it the same day it was suggested! LOL! Ordered the Mushroom Tibs plate, which also came with Injera. The Mushroom Tibs were VERY good...had a spicy kick to it and the sides it came with. The Injera was more of an acquired taste, but I can say that I tried it! LOL!The food truck was located outside of Pilot Brewing in Plaza Midwood and I believe it's located at other places at different times. So you can catch it by checking out the schedule on their website or their Insta. Pricing is moderate and not overpriced or expensive and it's LEGIT good! The staff/cook were very helpful in making a good decision on food!If you're nearby, try it out for sure! I will definitely be trying some of their other dishes in the future!

The food was excellent. The service was efficient for an Ethiopian/Eritrean food,No one expects ambiance from a food bus. It all depends on where it is parked,

I was introduced to this truck at the Vegan Vibe Series where I initially sampled the sambusa(lentils, jalapeño, onion, garlic, cilantro, and spices) which was really good so I also ordered the rice with spinach and collards, all amazing! The owners were great and explained every dish they offered. On my next few visits I ordered the mushroom tibs and some of the other veggies offered and each time it just kept getting better and better. Definitely my new favorite truck.

Best Ethiopian/Eritrean in Charlotte.Enat in OH gets all the hype - well deserved but heavily influenced by their location. I'd put money on the table that Mogogo would win 5/5 times in a blind taste test. Both are great, tho. What's best is that you're literally eating out their kitchen. They're making family recipes that they themselves eat regularly. Authentic? Yes!We've tried it all - the tibs are so incredibly spiced and cooked they're mouthwatering. The vegetarian options are on point and the mushrooms are to die for.The best thing on the menu is a tie (or a combination). The lentils and the sombusas. You can strike a win-win and order the lentil sambusa. I often (OFTEN!) think of this food truck. I've hunted it down a time or two.

I tried Mogogo while they were at the Armored Cow's food truck Friday. The service was very pleasant. I tried the vegan platter plus beets & potatoes plus lentil sambusa. I really liked the lentil sambusa - large, flakey, tasty with a great sauce. The beets & potatoes were also very tasty but the size of each piece was kind of a turn off. Not that it wasn't cooked well! I just prefer the smaller pieces when I eat with injera. The vegan platter included 2 types of lentils, cabbage & carrots, and the collards. I thought the red lentils really stood out - smooth texture and a great kick of heat to it. Mogogo serves up good food and I'm so happy they met me at the drinking hole. Keep it up Mogogo!! Bring Ethiopian food to the drunk masses. If you haven't tried Mogogo, definitely give it a try. I have to be transparent about why I docked a star - I do have a favorite Ethiopian place and this didn't quite compare to that place (there was a richness of flavor that seemed to be missing from some of the vegan platter), but I'd definitely take what Mogogo is serving over the average food truck or restaurant.

Just had this for the first time tonight and was blown away, I'm so glad they came to my neighborhood tonight! The flavors are incredible and well developed, perfect level of seasoning. We tried the beef and chicken tibs, and the sides were lentils, collards, and cabbage. Everything was excellent. The injera is a must as the side. Excellent Ethiopian food, highly recommend giving this a try if you see the food truck!

This Charlotte food truck came to Rock Hill, and the food was AMAZING!! We got the vegan platter (red lentils, cabbage & carrots, split peas, and collard greens) and an order of sambusas. Everything was so delicious, and we can't wait to return!!

Their food truck was scheduled to be in our neighborhood so checked in on the menu first as my girlfriend has celiacs and can't have anything with gluten. Found out everything was gluten free except for one appetizer which was great. The food itself was fantastic. We got a beef, chicken, and mushroom dish as well as the beats side. Everything was extremely good. Opened my eyes to Ethiopian and we will be tracking down this food truck again and also plan to check out the restaurant.

First time eating at this truck. Been a long time since I had Etheopean food, but I do not remember it being nearly this good.Had the Mogogo Tibs (beef) and asked for them a little spicy. They were amazing. Tender, super flavorful, came with peppers and onions. The sauce was just perfect and the injera sopped it up really well. I've only had injera a couple of times, but this one is easily the tastiest. The cabbage/carrot side and the lentil side were both awesome and I can't stand lentils normallyWife had the vegan platter and ate every bit. After reading the story of the truck and it's chef, I'm so happy we tried it. Will definitely go back... Will probably even look them up to see when they're nearby.
