First time at Milkbread. I had the hot dip chicken sandwich and fries. Chicken was fried perfectly with nice pickles and bun. Sauce was a little unusual as it advertised an eastern bbq base which is vinegary, but had a sweetness to the heat. I would have probably loved it plain. Also wish the slaw didn't have shaved red onion in it - particularly as that's not stated on menu. Fries are obviously not made in house but were tasty anyway. Fresh and nicely salted.

Today I stopped at the new Milkbread to grab an afternoon treat between meetings. It is located inside the Duke Energy Plaza on the right wall when you enter from South Tryon. Currently, there is not parking in the Duke Energy Plaza, but there is street parking and other decks nearby. It appears to be a grab and go, but there is seating in the lobby and in front of the building. It is open from 7AM - 4PM. I got a London Fog Tea Latte and Brown Butter Oatmeal Cream pie. The latte was ok. It had a mild tea flavor, with hints of vanilla. It was extra hot like I requested. I would like the tea flavor to be stronger, but that's a personal preference. The Oatmeal Pie was sweet with a hint of salty to balance out the richness. The oatmeal cookie was soft and held up when eating. I also purchased a Dirty Chai Tea Latte and S'mores donut. The donut was good. No complaints. The chai tea latte also had a very mild tea flavor with a pronounced espresso presence. I would also appreciate multiple size drink options. Although everything was decent, there is opportunity to continue to refine their drink profiles so that there are well balanced flavors.

Hate seeing this place with iffy reviews because it's one of my healthy uptown go-to's! I'm so glad they opened this location. My favorites are the grain bo, chicken nuggets with milkbread sauce, and of course the strawberry matcha. I've never had anything bad here. They're convenient to order ahead online and you just pickup in the designated area right when you walk by. Definitely give it a try!

I went here to get a quick coffee while uptown, it's right in the lobby of the Duke Energy building. The place was really clean and easy to find! I asked the cashier what were the seasonal flavors and her favorite out of the 3, the flavors were peppermint mocha, cinnamon swirl, and apple pie, she recommended cinnamon swirl. I got the cinnamon swirl (extra $0.50) with oat milk (extra $0.50). The drink below is what my drink looked like prior to mixing. After tasting the drink, which was actually pretty good (the only reason I'm giving it 3 stars), I asked how many shots of espresso it came with, and the cashier told me one. I asked if I could pay for an extra shot, she said yes. The one shot came up to $3.50, I asked if it would've been cheaper if she would've rang up the shot with my original order and she said yes, it would've been $2.50 extra then proceeds to charge me the $3.50 so I paid it. I have NEVER paid $10 total for a latte, I will not be returning. The coffee was pretty good but was not worth over $10!

I'm so excited that this opening happened right in time for fall. The location is super convenient for any who work in the building. They have the same menu as other locations which includes a selection of they yummy donuts and coffee which are great in the morning. This will be a nice place to stop in for a quick breakfast or grab and go lunch.

I was very excited to see that Uptown was getting a Milkbread location. The Kindred restaurant group is highly regarded, and the Plaza Midwood location seems to always have a good crowd outside. I enjoy a good chicken sandwich so I figured I'd pop in for lunch and check it out. They are located on the ground floor inside of the new Duke Energy corporate tower. Their location and reputation ensure that there is usually a large crowd especially on busier office days like Tuesday and Wednesday. I ordered ahead on line and found the process to be smooth and reliable as my food was ready for pickup at the time they said it would be and it was clearly placed in their pickup shelf. I highly recommend ordering this way to avoid a hectic crowd. I usually enjoy some spice but I figured for my first visit I would try their "original chicken sandwich" to see what they are about. I also ordered a side of fries. I was pleased with the cost as Uptown lunches can be expensive but found their prices to be reasonable. I also was pleased that they use Duke's Mayo as I believe it is superior. Besides that the sandwich didn't wow me and I felt the chicken lacked flavor. I strongly suspect that their crinkle fries are not made fresh but they were well salted so I still enjoyed. Overall my meal was ok but I'm not sure if it lived up to the hype. I plan on trying something else on the menu at a later date to see if this was a one off.

Ordered delivery today and got two of the buffalo chicken wraps .. $17.50 each. Taste was good but they put ONE tiny chicken tender in each wrap. ONE. Every bite you took was just sauce and lettuce. They should be embarrassed to serve this for what they charge. Won't ever eat from here again.

Why are you guys slowly firing black people in the front? 3/4 gone in less than a month, with 2 back to back...? Using "changes to our business model and needs" . And I love all my fellow cashiers it's just weird I never got fired from a job until yesterday on my day off. got praised the most for upselling, and had consistent praise from management and coworkers yet fired... just fishy that's all but yeah. Eat at your own risk raw food is constantly being sent back.
