Average sushi at best. Never seen so much rice on a shrimp tempura roll. It was also so loose when I picked up each piece it broke.

We checked this place out for a quick bite after a long day. It's near our house and my bf loves hibachi. I ordered the "Sexy pink" roll and the crab rangoon. Now, I always order crab rangoon when I go somewhere that sells it. It's like I have to try it. I will say this was not a good iteration of the appetizer to me. It was unfortunately very sweet and way too packed with cheese for my liking. I'm glad I tried it though. My roll was just okay and I was surprised because apparently it's a pretty popular option. I 100% want to try this place again and choose different things. They have a pretty big menu too. I know we will be back and hopefully I'll pick better options. My bf loved his hibachi and sushi though! He ordered the salmon hibachi and the tiger roll.

I came here with my best friend for a girl's night out, and we truly enjoyed it. It was pouring rain outside, and we ran in, sopping wet after braving the elements and being turned away from another sushi restaurant 3 hours before their closing. It was that unfortunate turn of events that led us here. When we walked in, our server, whose service was truly remarkable, warmly greeted us. The ambiance is dated but clean. We started with the Gyoza, which was delicious and filling. After waiting for a spell, we ordered the Pink Lady and the Ninja rolls at our waitress's suggestion, which was delicious. Both had different flavors and textural elements, making them enjoyable on the palate. The plating was also beautiful, which was appreciated.

Maybe I ate their food on the wrong day. The chicken and steak were both blah, and the rice was good. However, random pieces of corn and other vegetables in the middle, which indicates they didn't focus on preparation much. The ambiance of the restaurant is excellent, but I didn't eat in on this occasion. As far as service, food was ready when I got there. Worth another shot based on high ratings but disappointing on the first attempt. It's very possible--if not highly likely--that they are more known for their sushi.

We ordered two Togo meals, hibachi steak and teriyaki steak- BOTH were overcooked, and completely flavorless with random, not mentioned veggies in it... Total disappointment. We've eaten here once before and it was decent, but for $30 for 2 tiny meals, totally not worth it. Save your money or choose to eat somewhere else:(

Great food, always solid sushi for the price. Place lacks a little ambiance, very dark and a little dirty. We have switched to just takeout and we skip the dine-in.Be sure to allow LOTS of time on a Friday night, they get crushed in person and online.

I just had the most discourteous phone exchange with a young woman who claimed to be the manager. I called to check on the status of my order (totaling $95!) and before I could get a sentence out she said, "I'm sorry, I can't hear you; please call back" and hung up! I called back and as soon as I said hello, she said, "I still can't hear you" and hung up again. I called the 3rd time and loudly asked to speak with the manager--which now was clearly heard...and the same woman stated that she was the manager. I told her it was so rude of her to hang up on me like that TWICE! She defended the action saying that they've been having an issue with their phones so the easiest thing is for them to abruptly hang up and ask people to call back (which, mind you, she didn't do the second time I called nor did she take even a second to explain the prior two times). When I told her that we've been customers for a few years now and have never encountered such rude behavior and asked for the owner's card, , she got defensive, said she's been working there for years and the phone system issue has always been problem. Really? So you've been hanging up on customers for years? She won't get the opportunity to do it to this customer for a good long while since I won't be back any time soon. She would do well to remember that this is metro Charlotte and I literally pass dozens of restaurants to get to Midori. I'm sure one of those establishments will gladly accept a new customer and wouldn't think about hanging up on them (or waiting years to fix such a massive issue as the one supposedly warrants such an unacceptable course of action).
