This is a great spot for the family, a date, or just to hang out with friends. It has totally been revamped. There is tennis, a miniature golf course and a small park for the kiddos. There is a little stream that runs in the back with a few short bridges over it. The parking is good as well. It's off of Main and Stone near Academy St in downtown Greenville. There's also a picnic area.

Oldest park in Greenville! It's a true treasure. Like everyone says: bring your golf clubs and balls. Have fun and enjoy the grounds. Walk around, listen to the water flowing from a brook. I don't know, I'm not going to tell you how to have fun in a park.

I love this little park. Open but currently under renovation, it's going to be even better once complete. There are lots of picnic areas with shade and a free miniature golf course (bring your own putter/ball that you can get at Goodwill). A small playground, tennis courts and pavilions are available. There's a new clean restroom facility. Quaint new bridges cross the stream that runs through the park. Great lunch spot!

It was a really nice park. It even had a mini-golf course. There were some bbq grills there and a picnic area. Tennis courts, two of them.

HISTORIC LANDMARK!This is a historic park that was established in 1884 and is named for John McPherson the first chairman of the Park and Tree Commission. This park has a couple of bridges that connect to pathways that allow you to walk through the park or access the main road. However, the paths are very worn and the terrain is very uneven. These paths would be fine for a leisurely walk but dangerous for running or power walk. You really have to be careful when climbing the steps that lead to the bridges because they too are unsafe as they are original structures. Within this park, there is a nice playground, a large elevated pavilion, and a small put-put golf course. There is also a recreation center that offers activities for the community. This park is great because of its historic significance, but it is worn and could use a little TLC, particularly to address matters of safety.
