Mazatlan Family Mexican Restaurant

I called and asked if the burritos is covered in anything at all or is it a regular burrito. They specified "regular burrito". Okay cool. I'll take that. I lived in San Diego for three years and when it comes to Mexican food, they nail it. Living on the east coast, it's hard to find an authentic Mexican place.

I called to place an order for a quesadilla. I was reading off the menu and specifically said "no peppers." Low and behold, my meal came with peppers in it. I also asked for black beans and got refried beans and rice. I'm not sure if it's the language barrier but beware when ordering over the phone to check your meal when you pick up. Queso portions were also TINY for the price. This is also low quality Mexican food at an expensive cost. I wouldn't recommend or return.

We eat here often. Love the Guacamole as it's made fresh and not that out of the can stuff. Most other dishes are really good as well though the A.C.P. would be better if they added onions.

This place sucks do not eat here first off their service is bad and rude they don't clean their tables or restroom the staff is always busy talking to each other that they never near you and the food is no good looks and taste like all they did was put it in the microwave to heat it up and send it out worst place to eat from and they kick people out if you're there longer then 30mins after you get you're food the owner is racist towards everyone

The service was decent, and as the other reviews stated, the food is just okay. What the owners need to do is place a sign in the window that states the restaurant is dry. I went with my family and we all wanted tequila. We were told it was a family restaurant and there was no alcohol. "But we're family and we want tequila!" The server was not amused and said it was based on their religion to not drink, thus no alcohol. Maybe the food would have tasted better? Bottom line is they need servers who know the menu well, can make suggestions other than fajitas, and when a dish is requested to be spicy and it comes out bland, that's a problem. I really wanted to like this place as it is so close.

Worst Mexican food ever! Ordered 2 burritos got 2 tortillas drenched in tomato paste with beef and chicken inside and mozzarella cheese barely melted on top. The combo said it came with beans and cheese but it was just the burritos. Waitress didn't ask how it was until we finished. Left hungry and wondering what the hell that was they were trying to pass off as mexican food. Also asked for margaritas. We were told they dont serve them but see people talk about them in the reviews. My girlfriend ordered 2 chimichangas and only got one. I would have complained but I was afraid of what the hell else might make it's way put of what I wouldn't even consider a kitchen.

Excellent food and service. The shrimp and chicken dish was great and the fried banana dessert was definitely worth having again. We will be back!

Mazatlan is one of my favorite places to eat! The staff is friendly and attentive. Lunch is usually the busiest time but I enjoy eatting an early dinner there. I have several favorite dishes there, the Fundido with shredded chicken is so tasty as are the grilled chicken tacos! The ambiance is fairly typical of a family Mexican restaurant with booths and tables for seating, but the friendly staff are the heart of this business!

My husband and I decided to try this place and it was horrible.We both ordered chicken nachos and they use canned chicken and some sort of nasty "cheese food". For reference I have visited Mexico numerous times and also lived in San Diego where you can get authentic Mexican food. This place is just lazy people trying to pass of processed garbage for Mexican food.

Have eaten at several of these restaurants, we are up from N Myrtle Beach SC for business, food was so so had much better , ordered Fiestas , she brought them out had to ask for tortillas and then for cheese , my wife got the ACP , drink refills where slow usually empty glasses , only a couple of tables had anyone at them , customers service wasn't very good at all, my thought is if you live and work here in America you need to understand and speak the language, please ,
