Matthews Community Farmers' Market

It's not as big as the Farmer's Market in Charlotte on Yorkmont, but it's great for Matthews. I was impressed by the variety of fresh vegetables. I definitely took some carrots home with me. I was disappointed that there wasn't as much fruit available. Some items were reasonably priced; others were not. Looking forward to returning.

Matthew's Farmer Market is amazing. No wonder they've been doing this for so long! If you ever have the chance, go. They even double snap benefits ! No pets allowed sorry, but a great Saturday morning out with amazing fresh food & great people ! There's parking in the front and back areas, I would definitely recommend either putting in Pre-Orders or coming as soon as they open ! It gets packed

Matthews is kind of far from us, so we don't make it out this way often. We were coming for lunch and decided to come early for the farmers market. They have plenty of free parking off of the alley behind the market. I love not having to worry about finding parking. The market is really nice. It is still their winter hours until April, so it was only open from 8am-10am which I was surprised by. That seems so early to end. Especially because it's so much colder in the morning. I've been to a handful of the farmers markets around town and I think this is one of the nicer ones. They have nice stalls for each vendor. There's a good variety of produce and pre-made local products. We got a bagel and donut from Team Rose Bread as well as a bun from Bun Apetit. Everything was fantastic. We'll definitely come back in the warmer months when we can browse more and stay a little longer without being so cold.

This is what you think of when you think of a Farmer's Market. Hyper local produce, locally made bakery items, cheeses, local meats, usually some live bluegrass music, some good coffee. There's nothing not to like. My kind of place. It's small and easy to visit. Get there early--some of the best things sell out quick.

I live in Matthews and have been going to this farmers market for years. Get there early, 8am for the best choice. Things will sell out fast. There is fresh coffee to be purchased, along with some of the best pastries you could desire. There is a wide selection of vendors. Besides produce you will find honey, baked goods, plants, flowers, pottery, meats, soaps and more. Having just completed a cross country trip. I have come to cherish our home town market. The team that runs this market have brought so much to our market. There is musical entertainment and a chef demonstrating weekly using market items for their recipes. You can even enjoy a King of Pop, popsicle on those warm days. You will see friends or make new friends. Don't miss out on this treat!

The Matthews Farmers Market is open on Saturdays from 8AM to 12 Noon. (Regular market hours, times change for the winter market.) This year is the 30th Anniversary of the Market. Man this place is great... local produce fresh and clean ... I can't wait till most of the farmers come back with more wonderful choices ..

It's a nice market but it's small. Most produce is picked out before 10. The cheese line is always the longest.

Renfro hardware is a true gem. I love that they carry locally grown seeds. And the atmosphere at the market is terrific.

Overall best. Have made friendships with vendors & restaurants that are in great relations with the market also. over the years - best place to go for quality and price. Would encourage to volunteer there to get the inside scoop & get paid in okra, left over strawberries, a hug;-)Psalm 118:24
