Food is always delicious and tastes so fresh! My favorites are the roadside bhaji, tomatar (tomato) soup, and the paneer masala. Butter chicken and korma are yum too! Service is always on point and attentive. We have never been disappointed.

Our favorite local Indian restaurant! Don't sleep on their Sunday buffet! It's the best!! Service is always so friendly - they really want you to have a great experience there! They have indoor and outdoor dining and it's very clean! Some of our favorite dishes are butter chicken, chicken tikka masala, saag paneer, tandoori chicken, garlic naan, and their desi salad. Lots of parking along the street.

We frequent their sister restaurant in Cornelius called Sangham so tried this out! Similar but not the same. We loved the lamb dish and our chicken dish ( drawing blank on name) but the onion chutney was not as good as the other place! The service was great - they even reseated us inside once the mosquitoes started assaulting me LOL it's a refurbished home but very nice decor - clean and convenient with parking options.

Quaint little downtown Davidson, NC is not necessarily a place you'd expect to find great Indian street food, and in a historic building no less. But Masala Mastee is among the best Indian food we've had not just in Davidson, but pretty much anywhere. If this place was local to us, we'd be regulars. For a small place, they have a big menu, and part of the menu is set up for you to customize the kind of curry, protein and heat level. There were so many things we wanted to try that we ordered a bunch of stuff and took the leftovers home for a second meal. Let's start with the bread. They have a version of naan called kulcha, which is stuffed, in this case with cheese and onion. Super tasty alternative to regular naan -- definitely give it a try! For entrees we had: chicken tikka masala, chicken Railway Station curry, spicy chicken vindaloo and chili chicken. Apart from the vindaloo, we went with medium spice. It was a nice level of heat. Their tikka masala seemed almost more like a korma to me: it was very rich and creamy, with a nice tomato flavor and just a little background heat. One of my favorites! The Railway Station curry was something we'd never seen before in an Indian restaurant. It was fairly mild with a mixture of ingredients cooked down into basically a curry stew. Quite good. The spicy vindaloo did not disappoint in terms of kick. It had potatoes in addition to the chicken, which worked well to offset some of the heat. Finally, the chili chicken was great: perfectly crispy outside, tender and flavorful inside and with a good amount of kick from the chili. Even the basic white basmati rice was very good. We had King Fisher Indian beer (on draft), which paired well with the heat of the food. Service was excellent. If you love Indian food and find yourself in Davidson, NC (worth the little drive from Charlotte), don't miss this place!

A cute town, kind people, AND delicious food!? This was my first time exploring the town of Davidson and it was so beautiful. I loved walking around the shops and then stopping to eat at Masala was the cherry on top. I am not the biggest fan of spice and was relieved that this Indian dining spot offered levels of spice from zero to extra hot. I loved the butter chicken with the zero spice, it was still very flavorful and filling! Our server was so kind and helped our table with the menu options (I wish I got his name, because he was THE best!) They had a smaller inside seating area beside their kitchen, and then a bigger outdoor patio. I was happy to sit outside to see views of the town plus the cute twinkly lights on the patio. Overall, I had a good experience here and definitely would love to explore the area more in the future.

Super delish! We tried a bunch of different dishes and one was better than the next. Great naan bread and dipping sauce. Cute little town to walk around in afterwards. We loved it!

A nice Indian restaurant in downtown Davidson. A good Friday lunch crowd. The decor is inviting and the service is friendly. Got the basics: butter chicken, tandoori chicken & naan all medium spice & the strawberry lassi. While the presentation is great, the flavors are a little lacking and bland. Maybe I should have gotten a little spicier, but don't know if that would've helped.

Authentic Indian food?! I'm always down. We loved the momo's, chaat, and the chicken tikka Masala. The waiter was so accommodating with our 1.5 year old nephew, and gave us plenty of time to order. The ambience is casual and easy to sit with groups of 1-6.
