Mario's Family Restaurant

Stopped here on the way to the family house. Have been driving by it for 2 years and went in because West Rowan Grill was packed out for a band.It was not great. Wife and I ordered waters, and we couldn't drink them. Weirdest tasting water we've ever had. Something was in it. Wife thinks it was antiseptic since the place had a slight smell of cleaner when we walked in. Had to stop at a gas station after to get our thirsts quenched since we were uncomfortable drinking the water. The steak Stromboli I had was good and cheesy, so saves it from getting a 1 star. The chicken, bacon, cheese sandwich my wife had was inedible and she stopped after a few bites. Staff was nice, but definitely not a place we're coming back too. Looks like based on the reviews, you're making a big mistake if you order something that's not a pizza or something else.

We have been guests here several times bringing others with us. I love my veggie pizza no broccoli add pepperoni which no matter they have made this for me every time without any problem. My husband gets a hamburger he loves his it is always cooked just right. One should try it they are not busy except carry out so you can enjoy a quiet meal that is very good. The servers are all very nice.

This place sucks! Me and my husband went here the first time and got 2 cheeseburgers that was $9.99 each and the total came out to be $26.71. Don't understand that. The burgers sucked. My husband got fries with his and he asked for ranch and didn't know that that costed $1.00 extra. This place is expensive for nasty food. They had no business inside (we was the only ones there). It looks bad on the outside.

Great food and service. Dad and I have stopped here twice on trips dealing with motorcycles in Albemarle and have been happy this place is on the way. They've been super empty on both occasions which is odd because the food really is good. The Stromboli's are Huge and delish!

We read the last 5 Yelp reviews and gave it a try. Our waitress was super nice. Hubby has baked spaghetti - it was not baked and the sauce tasted watered down. I had chicken with asparagus and it tasted like they used Campbell's Golden Onion soup as the base. In the future I hope they can narrow down and improve the menu items because this place has hope. The staff was very friendly.

Spicy pasta was so Yumm!!!. Recommendation for our food was on point price and super friendly staff. Pasta sauce was so fresh, flavorful and decent quantity for the price.

Places like these make me miss my hometown. This place is legit awesome! How many Italian/southern restaurants exist?!! I came here around 5 pm on a Sunday. It wasn't crowded at all. We had the option of getting the buffet at $9.99 or the menu. Since I wasn't familiar with the restaurant and I didn't feel like getting up, I opted for the menu. They had a lot of great selections on the menu. Alfredo, pasta, lasagna, fried chicken, etc. I love the variety of the menu. I got the shrimp Alfredo. It was about 15-20 mins prior to the food coming out. The Alfredo smelled amazeballs!!!! It was some of the best Alfredo I ever tasted. Definitely no complaints about this place. Every time I'm visiting family, this will be a go-to spot for sure.

Slow and takes forever to get your food out back.low quality service and seats and food.

Overcharged refused to give copy of bill. Food greasy. Do not go.rude to boot. Horrible

Great food. Friendly staff. So many choices from pastas to burgers to fish. Will definitely order here again.
