Mandolino's Artisan Pizza

I've been wanting to try this place but every time I'd go to the Davidson farmers market, they were closed. Finally found them open and ordered: Fried Mozzarella Grandma PieCaesar salad The fried mozzarella is clearly handmade, big props! Just lacked a bit of salt it needed to make them great.Caesar was lemon forward and good, but the quality of lettuce lacked a little.The grandma pie crust is just what I wanted and you can split it between two types of pies (love this) but again was thinking the sauce/crust needed that touch of salt. Overall the service was prompt and the food was good so I'd return.

Son's Birthday Dinner with the whole fam. We went on a Friday night. It's a smaller place as far as number of tables but we had no issue getting a table for our party of 7. The staff could not have been more friendly. The wings were excellent. The family really enjoyed the garlic knots. We got a variety of pizzas and they were all excellent. I will say, a bit on the pricey side. Dinner for 7 with very little alcohol was $300.

Best pizza in the area. Pigs on a wing with pepperoni added. The sausage they use is hands down the best sausage I've ever had!

Service and food was fabulous. Host and servers were attentive, wait time for our food was average, and the drinks were strong. Highly recommend this pizza joint to people visiting the Davidson area. We will definitely be back

Great service and food. A little expensive - but a good square style pizza with interesting flavors. The restaurant itself is quite nice with a cool patio in the front facing downtown Davidson

I can't believe I haven't been here until now and I have lived in the area for seven years.Perfect pizza for sharing, lovely burrata cheese appetizer! My only complaint is that the crust could have been a little thinner , but that is just my preference. We will certainly be back sooner than later

Went for the first time tonight and loved it. Met up with a friend - she warned me that the pizzas were huge so I just went in knowing I'd be taking some home. Spoiler alert... I took most of it home.The garlic knots were yummy and fluffy and delicious. The pizza was so good. I love jalapeños and pineapple together.Not cheap, but definitely quality so it's worth it.We sat outside and the service was great. Waters refilled, boxes brought out. Just a great time.

Pizza was delicious! The dough and sauce was fantastic. The service was super friendly. Perfect meal after a long day at the pool. Highly recommend!

This rating is based on four visits, maybe 5. Their pizza has a great reputation locally but I'm guessing that's from folks who have never had really excellent pie. What one may expect: (1) ingredients are scant -- expect to look hard for what you ordered and the pieces will be small if they can be found at all; (2) tasty, but not excellent; (3) relatively expensive given the quality issue -- and a poor value.There are plenty of employees but some are not particularly helpful.Meanwhile, we're looking for an alternative.

While the food is good, wait time is consistently long and has been for as long as I've known this restaurant. Price is high, which I would excuse if the service was faster and more attentive, but it does not feel high end enough to be charging what it is.
