The food is great , the lady that answered the phone was hilarious. One of the only places I can get a shrimp egg roll

**Mandarin I recently dined at Mandarin Chinese Restaurant and had the most delicious sesame chicken with fried rice. The food was served hot, and the portion size was just right--plenty to satisfy without being overwhelming. The flavors were spot on, and I left feeling very satisfied. Definitely a great spot for a tasty and well-portioned meal!

Typical takeout spot. Just your basic greasy americanized fast "chinese".. no fan fare eats...service was ok...

All I'm saying is that if you spend more than $40 you should get something for free. Having to buy a can of soda after spending over $40 on mom & pop chinese food is wild. Never have I ever. I'm from north jersey so there's mom & pop places everywhere! And you usually get a free can of soda once you go over the $25 threshold. You hit $40 and it's a 2-liter soda, something special for the high rollers. But here, no way. Not even a fortune cookie. At least the food is good. Smh...

I love this place and the tofu and broccoli is normally on point . Owners be careful with the steel bruh that cleans the woks . I found a steel brush tooth in my tofu / broccoli plate . I bit down and almost broke a tooth . I don't want a refund or a discount, I support this establishment 100% . This is just a heads up going forward for my favorite dish . The family is really nice to me when I go in and I'm always impressed with the children that works the front desk taking orders at the counter and over the phone . Seen you soon . Mahal kita

Don't judge a book by its cover. This place is a hidden gem. While it might not look like much inside, the food is delicious! It's one of my favorite places in Charlotte.

I've been getting food from this restaurant for over twenty years. They know me there. :-) The food is always exactly what I want.Bomb egg rolls. Fabulous mai fun. Excellent foo yung.Friendly service, though I did already mention being a regular... (I've watched them serve everyone and that standard has always been maintained.)I love their food and I am personally fond of them.I'm looking forward to my next Mandarin Chinese Restaurant meal. That will be tomorrow.

The food was fresh and hot and it was sooo much food for what we typically get at any other Chinese restaurant . The egg rolls were hand made and fresh you can tell these aren't premixed and in the freezer sitting the carrots and cabbage was crunchy and the pork was savory. We will definitely be back for more

This is my neighborhood take out spot, and I'm glad they came! I eat here a lot. The kitchen is in plain view, they have excellent sanitation. It's a family establishment so you get to know them over the years as I have. I give them four stars for their very consistent high quality. Anyone can do hit or miss but The Mandarin really is a trusty standby. Being consistent is really important and these days very rare. It's the standard array of dishes; they don't try to execute things they wouldn't do flawlessly. The shrimp is always fresh, the veggies always properly prepped. They know how to velvet meat properly. This is a take out spot- not so much a dine in. Don't ask for the homemade mustard, they run out on me sometimes. If they would add a little more variety to the chiefly broccoli vegetable mix they would get 5 stars.
