Wow- what a biscuit!!! I wanted to try it all. I got a SEC, Side Chick, and a biscuit w tomato jam and butter, and the hash potatoes. The purity of the biscuit was the best thing that I tried!! Everything was great, but the biscuits are SO perfect it was all that I wanted. The staff are SUPER nice and the eclectics are all there in the ambience. I'll be back tomorrow- lol.

Tried it while in town, I love the independent places like this. I had the tater tots and received a order of massive tots with cheese, it looked scrumptious. I also had the the sausage, egg and cheese biscuit and noticed them rolling the dough, it looked great.Unfortunately, neither one of the items tasted like anything, just very ordinary. It like they sprinkled them with blah. Still a neat little place, I'm sure they will do well. When I left, my farts were jammin'.

Delicious biscuits - and even yummier tater tots! The tater tots are more like big squares of hashbrowns - simply to die for. Fresh squeezed OJ was good but not $5/cup good. Bacon, egg and cheese biscuits were very tasty. Highly recommend.

I had really high expectations for this place and unfortunately, they were not met. It is a really modern downtown location very bright and the environment is great to start your day. It is right outside of the main downtown area and has an outdoor area setup for eating. The best part of the meal was the coffee it had bold fresh flavor. If we decide to give it a second chance I will try the fresh squeezed orange juice. I got the gravy biscuit there were several types of gravy to choose from which I thought was really unique. The even offer gravy flights which is cool. I got the sausage sawmill gravy and it was good a little too much sausage for my taste. The biscuits were huge plenty to get anyone completely full. Unfortunately, the rest of the meal was just ok. I expected a place like this to have really good crispy southern fried chicken and that is not at all what we got. The chicken was too small of a portion and not crispy at all. The waffle was nothing special similar to a hotel breakfast. The tater tots are crispy and look amazing and at first seem enjoyable but after eating a couple you start to feel how greasy they are from the lard I believe. I really believe with a few adjustments this place has a real opportunity to be a gourmet breakfast spot.

Very cool concept. Great sandwiches. Leverage the BBQ they do next door to add to their sandwiches. The biscuits were much bigger than expected. The fresh squeezed orange juice and good iced coffee were hits. Really liked the covered hash brown options too. A heavy meal - very filling and very good.

Finally got to visit Main Chick today for the first time and I'm already a fan. As an afficionado of biscuits and gravy, I absolutely had to make my first item off the menu the Gravy Train, a biscuit with three different gravies to try - sausage sawmill, tomato gravy and redeye brisket gravy.First, the biscuit - holy wow , this biscuit is legit. Buttery, flaky with just the right amount of crust to it.The first gravy I tried, the sausage sawmill. The first thing that really jumped out to me was the very noticeable inclusion of rosemary. I'm not usually big on rosemary, but this was really, really good in this gravy. Nice amount of sausage chunks and just thick enough to work with the biscuit.Next was the tomato gravy, which is a gravy I wouldn't normally associate with a biscuit. That said, it worked really well. Very thick with a good spice kick to it. Oddly, I feel like I wouldn't be as big a fan if it was on pasta, but with the biscuit it was awesome. Finally, the redeye brisket. From the moment I tasted it combined with the biscuit, I was trying to figure out why this flavor combo triggered a memory in me. And I think I got it - it reminded me of tasting a really, really good shepherd's pie! Delicious brisket, definitely had to come from next door at Cranford Brothers BBQ. Unexpectedly great combo. The prices for what you get portion-wise are MORE than fair, especially when you consider you're getting everything scratch-made. Not disappointed at all, will certainly be coming back to try more.

The biscuits were cold and somewhat stale and the tables were dirty. We came around lunch so maybe that mornings biscuits were old. Just not what we were hoping for with that price point. Hopefully we are outliers but we won't go back.

First time eating here. Hart and Soul was crowded so we came here and it did not disappoint. Biscuits are huge. Had the Thick Chic which had a thick piece of boneless chicken with bacon, cheese, collard greens and gravy. A meal in itself. Delicious. Wife had a gravy biscuit and she said it was delicious. It will be a repeat. By time we left at 930 am it was crowded. Enjoyed how they painted up the walls. Made you feel very welcomed.

The food was delicious. The large tater tots are crispy and flavorful. The atmosphere was neat being in an old building that they restored. Service was prompt and everyone was friendly

This place is next level! Be prepared for a treat in the form of the best biscuit you've ever had. We also got the tater tots which were huge and delicious. Also the coffee (an Americano and a Latte) we excellent. Cute dining room with lots of space. Friendly staff, you can tell the food was made fresh as it took 10 minutes to come out. Will definitely be back next time we're in Hickory.
