Fantástico. I had fish (pescado a lo macho) and it was so delicious. Peruvian style fish is excellent. In this country, it is so hard to find fish that is so delicious. My husband had Lomo Saltado and really loved it. We went back immediately because became we love the food so much. I am ready to try ceviche next time and we always order plátanos on the side. They have live music and dancing after 730pm weekends.

I went to Machu Picchu restaurant three times. The food is very good, and most plates taste real Peruvian food. The service is not the best and they don't speak English, and I think sometimes the waitress is a little scary plus, they don't explain about the food. The ambiance is good, clean, and broad.

The food was amazing, the atmosphere was great, the waitresses were super nice. I'm Brazilian, but I have a special place in my heart for Peruvian food, I will definitely come back and bring some friends. I posted it on my Instagram stories (jualeka), it was a success.

Let me qualify this review by saying I have 3 friends from Peru. 2 of my friends are from Lima, and 1 friend is from Chiclayo. I have eaten the food they have prepared, and best of all, the food of one of my friend's Grandmother that she prepared. On one occasion, I've helped to cook the meal also. For my birthday dinner, another friend of mine and I decided to try something different and chose to come here to try it out. She's from India, so is unfamiliar with Peruvian cuisine. The food from this restaurant was not even close if you are trying to have an authentic experience. Our waiter was nice, but I think he may have been new. He kept forgetting things. They placed a small container of corn snack on the table while we waited on our appetizer and drinks. The corn snack is dry (That's they way it is supposed to be, no complaints there) so we really could have used our drinks, but it was about 20 minutes at least before we got the chicha morada or water we asked for. I loved the drink ($3.75). It has a slight spice of maybe cloves in it. My friend didn't like it much, but it was authentic, she just didn't care for it. The problems started with the appetizer. I ordered papa huacaina ($9). This is probably my very favorite thing to order in Peruvian cuisine. The waiter brought it AT THE SAME TIME as our meals. The appetizer was room-temperature. Obviously, it had been sitting and he had forgotten to bring it out. The sauce itself was extremely bland. I asked the owner about how it was prepared and whether they used aji amarillo. He said they did use aji amarillo, but that they did not prepare it spicy at all to be able to make it for everyone. Huh ? That is the whole point of this sauce, it should have a little kick. I asked if there was a way to order it next time with the normal flavor and he said no. Okaaayy.... My friend ordered the chicken and rice. It had the same sauce over the chicken (or something very similar). Again, it was bland. However, out of our 2 meals, this was the better of the 2. But again it was the same bland sauce. I got the ceviche mixto. The waiter had told me that it could be ordered with just the fish and shrimp, without the octopus. When I received my meal, it had octopus. I got his attention and sent it back. I waited. He brought it back, said the chef had forgot, and I started eating. It. Had. Octopus. Again. I called the waiter over, showed him the pile of octopus I had pushed to the side and said I wouldn't be eating that, would he mind if I got a little more fish instead to make up for what I won't be eating from this entree ? He said sure, apologized, and brought out a very generous portion of fish. Ok, so now I'm happy. The flavor was good. Next we ordered mil hojas for dessert because they were out of the alfajores I wanted. I had ordered mil hojas here many years ago here at this restaurant and it was very dry. This time it was better and was just a little bit dry. At the end of the meal, the waiter said they received a delivery of alfajores and asked if I still wanted one. Sure ! This was very good. The only disappointing thing is it had coconut all around the outside edge of the cookie. There was no mention of coconut on the menu about it on the cookie, and I absolutely hate coconut. So, I scraped off all the coconut and then ate it.Honestly, I wouldn't come back. I could overlook the mistakes, hey that happens. But the food simply is not good.

Lunch with coworkersParking lot with other businesses.Kind of dark inside and music playing. No other patrons in the restaurant when we arrived.I joined the gathering a little later than others, no one took my drink order until the food order was taken.Speaking of drinks, why are you running out of TEA at 12:30pm??!!The fried rice with shrimp only----the shrimp was already dead but super dead and over cooked by the time I got my dish. I love shrimp but not those rubbery ones.Needless to say, I would not return.

The food is good -but the service is very bad. Our waitress sat in the back playing on her phone and we had to wait for her to take a break before being waited on. Very annoying.
