I visited this community restaurant today. It's delightful and quaint with staff who is extremely friendly and attentive. I had angel hair pasta with mushroom marinara sauce. It was really good. The sauce was a nice blend of sweet and tangy. The garlic bread and garden salad was (with house balsamic vinegar dressing) was good too. The salad was freshly chopped. I definitely recommend this restaurant.

I'll be the first to say the Italian food scene in Charlotte is lacking, but this place is a hidden gem. Got the lasagna, which had a more meat than noodle ratio, which was welcomed. Sauce was great, portion was massive and tasted great overall. Will definitely be back.

This was the most substandard meal I've had in I don't know how long. We went to this restaurant because of the reviews, but I don't know who would want to eat this food. It is boring, tasteless, blah. The service was OK. We had to wait very long for our food though, definitely NOT worth the wait. Even the water tasted off. The only thing that was adequate was the sweet tea. I suggest going to other restaurants because this just did not cut it. You can see how much food we did not eat. As far as ambience goes, there was none. This restaurant looks like it hasn't been decorated since 1980.

Very disappointed. I was looking forward to enjoying the chicken picatta from this restaurant. The order was so oily it left stains in my car seat and on my desk. Then the chicken was so flavorless and bland. Portion was good for price.

Bar was fine. Great bartender and good drinks. Food was another story. Absolutely terrible. Had read other reviews and wasn't expecting gourmet Italian. But was expecting typical great "dive" Italian American. Food definitely missed the mark and was barely edible. Seems like they have a good business and maybe take it for granted.

I wouldn't eat here again if you give me free food. This place is purely unsanitary. From the rain soaked ceiling tiles to the odd things stored in the building in plain site. The owner is super nice, but not well kept. The food is eh..I'd go across the street to Mario's Pizza for good Pizza and Italian dishes. This place is a hard NO for me going forward. I'm surprised it passes inspection, TBH.

Terrible Experience! I went to get a refund for my meal because it was not what I expected. When I asked to get a refund they told me they could not give it to me because it wasn't "burnt". I went inside and was very respectful, when I brought it up they went and got the manager. overall terrible experience at this restaurant and I will NOT be returning.

The food was good, service and price were good. The place really needs an update. Bottoms of chairs were hanging down and ceiling tiles missing and never replaced. Has definitely seen better days. It wasn't dirty just dark and incredibly in need of some love. My advice is to get carry out.
