Love In Action Cafe

I'm not vegan, but I like good food and don't mind experimenting. The first time I patronized was after trying a smoothie at an event; the smoothie was good and I wanted more.Not sure what was going on, but I had to make two separate purchases, one for the smoothie and another for the sides. An explanation of why that was necessary would've been appreciated. The man and younger lady may have been side tracked as I wasn't sure if they were flirting with each other or not. I enjoyed the cauliflower. I cook and I think I'll stick to non-vegan mac and cheese. I also bake, so I may have been a tougher critic of the sweet potato pie; it was ok & stringy. I decided to give them another try when I saw them listed on Too Good To Go. There was a short wait before my order was complete. The portion size was decent. I liked the kick of the spices. I wasn't s fan of the fake meat. Maybe my non-vegan palate has its limits.

The Chick'n sandwich is deep fried and made from Mushrooms was pretty good. The special sauce was delicious and went well with the sandwich. The fries were ok. The Moscato Cake was amazing! Not too sweet and very moist!!The inside is eclectic, laid back and located near a hotel.The food is pricey but good. I look forward to going back.

They're still amazing...the mushroom sandwich is great. Staff still showing love and being great. Laid back vibe with an always solid ear-scape for your dining pleasure.

My first visit here and the service and food was wonderful! We will be returning again soon!

Today, was the first time at the cafe! I am a new vegan due to health reasons. It will be tough to transition from being a meat lover to being a vegan. The cauliflower wings were flavorful and delicious! The meatloaf, greens and Mac and cheese were amazing. I could not wait to take a bite of the delicious pie. I'm not sure if I walked in with a smile on my face or not because I just got back from my Dad's gravesite as today is his birthday. It was appreciated to walk in to such friendly greetings and smiles! Thank you for the delicious food and the sample tasting of a smoothie! I will return on my next visit. The lady from Sacramento, CA! :-)

This was my first time visiting Love In Action Cafe. Upon entering, I was greeted warmly by the young man at the register. He asked if this was my first visit, and I let him know that it was. He went through the daily specials, with it being Tuesday, they had the taco Tuesday menu. After a few moments, I chose the cheesesteak and fries. I walked around the restaurant while I waited for my meal. I saw handmade jewelry, nutritional supplements, and even a free library in the corner. After I received my food, I took a quick picture. Wow! It looked delicious. And let me tell you it tasted awesome. If I didn't know it wasn't meat, I would have been totally fooled. The fries were cooked too perfection. Crispy outside, soft inside. Just like I like them. They made a fan out of me today. I'll definitely be back to try other items on theirs menu.

Stopped by to check out Love in action cafe today for lunch. First thing that caught my by surprise after parking in front is that the main entrance is not the double locked doors on the front of the building facing the main street - but is actually accessed through the side entrance on the left hand side facing the building. After heading in was very pleasantly surprised at how much space and nicely decorated the interior was. I ordered the hoagie with impossible meat while my significant other ordered the the French toast platter with beyond sausage for brunch. Apparently the brunch menu is prepared by a separate chef than the non brunch menu so we had to pay on two separate terminals but that was fine. Was surprised to learn this cafe had only been open for about six months at the time of writing and is actually a 501c3 nonprofit whose goal is to help address under served communities e.g. Veterans, elderly and the disabled through separate programs that provide community services as well as transitional housing. The vegan cafe is part of their strategy to enable that goal. With that in mind, my Hoagie was very tasty and hot. French toast platter was nicely done. Will definitely come again.Only thing to be careful of is when exiting the parking lot, the row of white picket fences lining the parking lot really block the view of oncoming traffic (if they're not sitting in a taller vehicle e.g. SUV, pickup truck, 18 wheeler.

The best Vegan Soul food in the city coming to Atlanta soon. Ask about THAT DAMN CAKE

Visiting from out of town and found this gem. Good comfort food with quality vegan/vegetarian options. I ordered the Jack Fruit tacos with fries. Biting into the taco you got soft flour tortilla, fresh crispy lettuce, a bit of shredded vegan cheddar cheese, and a flavor house chopped jackfruit with a tangy but savory bbq style sauce. The fries were perfectly cooked and seasoned. The Cheesesteak similarly was on flavorful, the bread was noticeably soft, balanced bread, a great platform for the ingredients. The sauce was more bbq style vs what some out of t owners might expect of thinking of the "Philly" style cheesesteak. Plenty good and worth a try. Finally we got the fried brussel sprouts with the OG sauce for dipping. Batter was light, golden in color, almost buttermilk style in flavor and paired nicely with the tangy, savory OG sauce. The staff was incredibly friendly. The owner/operator was in the house and the hospitality for my family, which included 3 little ones, was deeply felt.

This will definitely be one of our new go-tos. Everything was great but the breakfast sandwich is a must, their house lemonades are next level, their pie is as good as it gets but the vibe, atmosphere, and team is what made the experience. I'm not one to order an "avocado pineapple smoothie" but I did... just to see if they had at least one thing there I could honestly say I didn't like. I loved it. Can't wait to go back!
