Lotus Cafe Chinese Cuisine

Lotus Cafe is a solid Asian food spot in Ballantyne! We did take out but you can also dine in. We have been on the hunt for Chinese takeout in the area for a while and decided to try this place. The prices were appealing compared to $18+ for take out at other places in the area. We were so impressed! The portions are HUGE! I made 3 meals out of my General Tso's chicken and my husband did the same with his Chicken Pad Thai. I got medium spice but it wasn't spicy at all. We got extra spicy on the Pad Thai and there was a kick, but not near as much as you'd expect from extra spicy Thai. The veggie lo mein is flavorful and also a large portion. The dinner combo comes with an egg roll which I highly recommend.The portions for the price are excellent, this quickly became our go-to!

Grabbed takeout for lunch. The portions were huge! The egg drop & wonton mix soup was delicious and they gave 2 bags of the crispy noodles for topping. The egg roll was good. The chicken lo mein tasted a little different than we expected- more umami than most places I think, I'm not sure we would order that again but for the value and portion, we will definitely try more of the menu. The man who took my order was very nice and friendly and they had everything out really quick! I probably wouldn't eat in here, it's pretty small. But a decent takeout place for a cheaper meal than most in this area!

AWFUL service. My husband and I placed an order here at 6:05pm. it was said to be ready at 6:55. My husband goes inside at 6:55 and was told it will be another 15 minutes. He then goes back to the counter again at 7:20 and they say 10 minutes. At 7:40 we were at our wits end and we FINALLY received our food at 7:45. No apologies or explanation from the employees. ZERO reason for it to take an hour and 40 minutes for 2 simple takeout boxes. Food was a 6.5/10. Definitely do not recommend this place and we will not be returning.

This is a decent take out place. The food is okay.I ordered the sesame chicken the rice on the side only has onions no vegetables. The egg roll that came with the meal was sour. The price is a little but more then competitors. The food was made quickly and temperature was good. Staff were efficient and straight to the point. The location was typical of any take out spot. There is plenty of park g in the shared lot. Overall there are several Chinese take out spots in the area find the best fit for you.

I got the General Tso Tofu with Broccoli and it was so yummy! You get so much food for a great price and it doesn't lack in flavor. I got medium spice which wasn't bad but i'd get hotter next time. The Spring Roll was honestly the best spring roll i've ever had My partner got the Pad Thai and said it was delicious! They included the peanuts on the side. Service was great and I'd definitely order again (:

The food I ordered from Lotus Cafe Chinese was plentiful and very good. I ordered the Crispy Orange Chicken entree that comes with a side of rice. Each entree is a bit more expensive than I expected but you do get a lot of food. Enough to share.I ordered to-go through the Yelp App and it was made quickly and packaged well. The staff was very kind.The restaurant itself is quite messy. They were actively cleaning it when I picked up my food but it would be beneficial for them to organize the front of the store. The kitchen appeared clean and the food was quality.

Visited this place on July 15 2023. Food was great. Service was fast. Workers were polite. Atmosphere was great. Cooking area was clean. Drinks Were AMAZING. Overall, I would DEFINITELY Recommend visited this Chinese Cuisine.

My family has been going to Lotus Cafe for the last 15 years and we've almost never been disappointed. Consistently great quality food with a nice variety of items. Also it's great that you can finally eat inside. I don't know if there's been a change in management, but the change in certain items and eating inside has been great so far! While yes, it's a tad cramped inside it's still nice. Lotus Cafe has and will continue to be awesome!

Good food and prompt service for take out. Folks were friendly during take out transaction. Not the best place to sit down and eat, you should opt for take out.

As former New Yorkers, this is the only Chinese food in town that does Chinese takeout justice! Food is great and delivery is always quick and organized. We've tried many other places and are so happy to have found this one. The service is worth it!
