Los Toritos

After having seen some rather high reviews of this restaurant, I decided to give it a try for lunch. This is a rather small, compact place with a small bar area.I ordered 4 tacos - 2 Chorizo and 2 Carnitas, along with a single Chile Relleno as a side item.My order was on the table in just over 10 minutes, and there was a lot of food. The tacos were topped with plenty of onions and cilantro and there were 2 accompanying salsa - one green, tomatillo based, tasty but mild; the other was red pepper based with some heat. The tacos were rapped in a single tortilla. The Carnitas taco was a bit dry, the verde sauce helped a little. The Chorizo was about the same and were surprisingly chewy. Again the sauce helped some but that's just putting a bandage on a wound.The Chile Relleno was good, not great and was filled with just cheese. The poblano had some heat but was more than a little overcooked. The accompanying sauce was tasty but rather mild. The beans were flavorful with some whole beans mixed in. The rice was a rather strange orange color and lacked flavor.The service was excellent, but the food was average at best, and I don't see a return visit m.

Best Mexican restaurant hands down. Their chimichangas & street tacos are my favorite. They have a drive thru for pick up orders which is extremely convenient

A new to me Mexican restaurant in Advance. I like trying new places so in we went.The place was clean and we were seated promptly. The menu is unique. It has a lot of Mexican dishes I've never seen on other restaurants menus. I got the 4 enchiladas. 1 bean, cheese, beef and chicken respectively. The food was good, not great, and certainly nothing of a "wow" factor. It was a good basic meal. No beans or rice with this dish.Service was good. Our server was pleasant and efficient. The food was ok. Nothing to make me to want to come back but I will's give them another chance and try some of the unique dishes they had on their menu. I'll keep you updated.

Food is delicious, customer service is very good. Just the salsa and chips can be better. We will be back to try more menu items.

This little gem in Advance I'd have to say has the best Mexican. Great food and service and atmosphere. Live music on Thursday night ! I was surprised at how busy they were too. They have a great patio too .I loved their salsa nice and fresh . Chips seemed a little stale . Great menu choices. Some different than your standard local Mexican place. Great margarita list and all your usual suspects on the cocktail list. I got the enchiladas mexicana, with green sauce and chicken. This hot plate came out loaded and I was already full looking at it ! The sauce was super tasty and plenty of chicken and I really liked their rice and beans which I usually find bland everywhere. Really enjoyed my plate but no way can I eat 3 enchiladas!My friends had the quesadilla grande, with chicken and again it comes fully loaded . She really enjoyed it and wiped her plate clean Also the ACP, better looking plate than most I've seen in other places. Lots of chicken and rice ! Everyone's food was delicious and tasty. Totally impressed with Los Toritos . So great to have a good Mexican local !

The food is authentic, Mexican, the waiters and most of the staff are also Mexicans. Their prices are reasonable and their food is delicious. I highly recommend giving them a try.

Ordered a few items for take out and was terribly disappointed. The beef fajita taco salad was swimming in liquid (cheese sauce?) and the shell was basically inedible. This is not my experience when ordered previously! The Los Toritos nachos were soggy to the point of limp as well. These items were picked up when ready and put on the table for dinner immediately. Only live 2 miles away so the driving and serving time should not have had this impact. Please fix this !!!Since this use to be my favorite Mexican restaurant, I'm hoping this meal was the exception to the rule.

Okay at best. We ordered takeout and it was basic. The drive-thru attendant was not helpful and not friendly at all. We regretted tipping her, as she was not interested in providing good service. The chips bag was tiny for takeout, but the prices were steep for what we got. We won't be back.

So glad we found Los Toritos. Food is absolutely amazing. Everyone in our party enjoyed their food and we voted unanimously that it was the best in NC. The overall winner was the Chapo Burrito! Service was great. Restaurant was very clean with indoor and outdoor seating available.
