This review is based on my one/first visit. I love the place! I had the chicken (pollo) salad and it was one of the best I remember having. It really didn't even need a dressing. Staff was very friendly, and I'm looking forward to coming back.

First time visiting. Will not be the last! Loved the service and the recommendations. Was surprised with the draft beer offerings: COLD!!! Food was authentic and tasty. Loved every bite. Bill was so reasonable. Does not break the bank.

Went to Los Agaves to celebrate a friends birthday. We had a large group of 17 and they were able to accommodate us. We went early to make this easier and they were very helpful and understanding. Our waiter was very attentive and did his best throughout our dining experience. The paluza was delicious and my husband says his marg was also great!

I haven't written about this place in a while, so I thought I'd give it an update. This is still one of my hot spots for Mexican food in the triad, although they've let me down a few times recently. Unfortunately, last night at supper, my burrito arrived with my plate pretty warm, although not piping hot like usual, and the burrito was barely room temperature at best. I'm assuming there is new staff in the kitchen? Usually this place is spot on, so this is a big let down for me. Every place can have a bad night or two so it won't keep me from coming back. In the meantime, I will be rooting for them to make a recovery. The staff here is always nice, although this is the only compliment I can offer. We are always greeted and welcomed with smiles upon entering, but we are also frequent flyers. While kindness can go far, unfortunately, the struggle is still present and quite noticeable to everyone. Meaning, they are a bit unorganized when it comes to running the place. It's kinda every man for himself... so during peak hours, everyone is running around without any means of prioritizing. In fact, there is never a designated staff member to seat parties, a member to run the register for check out, a member to run out food or chips and salsa to newly seated guests, a member to take to-go orders, etc. All given tasks are the responsibility for the staff to all do all at one time, taking turns without indication of who takes over what and when, which can become complicated, overwhelming, and frustrating for both the staff and guests. For instance, It's hard for one waitress to take drink orders and run out chips and salsa to her newly seated guests if she is stuck checking out a long line of customers, while at the same time answering the phone for take-out orders - not to mention, her other tables may have food up, glasses sitting empty, and a table simply waiting on their check so they too can join the never-ending line to check out... I just think the restaurant would really benefit from some organized structure, although I also realize that they may be short staffed and simply doing the best that they can. With this said, I sincerely hope this can be taken more so as constructive criticism, rather than harsh judgment, because I say this with all-around good intentions. I also would hate for there to be disappointed customers, especially first-timers, when there may be a simple quick-fix. I also want to make sure you understand that the wait staff here are definitely hard workers, but that's definitely the point I'm trying to get across - they are simply working extra hard, instead of working smart, which is unfortunately dragging them down at times. Also, be aware that it's a very very tight, congested area at the entrance, which doubles as the register and check out area, as well as the only route to access the restrooms, so if you have a large party or if it's during peak hours, it may be a good idea to send only one member of your party inside until the staff is ready to seat your entire party. I'm just saying, help them make the best of the space they have to work with, especially during COVID - to ensure we are all able to distance ourselves appropriately, etc.As far as the food goes, I've rarely had a bad experience. The food has always came out hot and in a timely manner. Sometimes later at night the rice isn't at its absolute best, but that's the only problem that's been consistent - so maybe just be aware of this if you visit later. My personal two favorite things to order is the casual beef burrito, which I like to dress up with some added salsa and pico and when I need to work on getting some veggies in, the grilled chicken peluza. The grilled chicken peluza packs a high protein punch with loads of veggies to follow, including mushrooms, peppers, onions, zucchini, all atop Mexican rice and generously coated with cheese sauce. I highly recommend it! My fiancé personally goes for the chori pollo, but It's definitely not heart burn friendly! I also hear customers order their chicken quesadillas often, so I'm betting those are good too! I just stress to go easy on them during peak hours because it's a great place to eat with genuinely caring staff members, it's just a stress overload at times.

Always great food and great service. They probably have my favorite salsa around. Some of my favorites are the Burrito Mexicano, Quesadilla Texana, lengua tacos, and Diabla tacos.

The food is great, but what made it even better than ANY local Mexican restaurant is the customer service. Very attentive and polite.
