Get ready to ignite your holiday spirit at Light the Knights! This festival is the perfect way to embrace the winter wonderland and have some serious fun. I finally rallied my friends, and we headed down for a night of festive cheer. Yes, it was packed (no surprise!), but the energy was electric, and nothing could dampen our excitement. The entire area is transformed into a Christmas dreamscape, complete with dazzling decorations, mouthwatering treats, snow tubing, and ice skating! Tickets vary depending on the activities you choose, and of course, we went all in! We snagged our wristbands (essential for tubing and skating) and headed straight for the action. The lines moved surprisingly well, and everyone was super friendly. We tubed multiple times and hit the ice rink twice for about 20-30 minutes each time.Pro-tip: the skates run a bit small, so you might need to size up. Food is a bit pricey (think stadium prices), so plan accordingly. Even the earlier rain couldn't stop our fun - just dress appropriately, and you'll be good to go. Trust me, Light the Knights is an absolute must-do this holiday season! You won't be disappointed.

I recently took my 5-year-old daughter to the Light The Knights festival at Truist Park, and overall, it was a really fun and festive experience for the holidays! We went ice skating and tubing, which were the highlights of our visit. The skating rink was beautiful, and tubing was such a blast--we both had a great time sliding down the hill. However, I will say the lines were definitely not for the weak. Be prepared for some serious waiting, and if your child isn't super patient or if it's getting close to their bedtime, it could be a challenge. Thankfully, my daughter did great and kept her spirits up, but the long waits were definitely exhausting at times. That said, once we were able to get on the ice and tubing hill, it was all worth it. The holiday lights and decorations were stunning, creating a magical atmosphere that really made it feel like a special time of year. If you're planning to attend, just make sure to manage expectations around wait times and plan accordingly if you have younger children with shorter attention spans. Despite the long lines, Light The Knights is a wonderful holiday experience, and I'd definitely recommend it for a family outing.

I wanted to give 5 stars but the amount of people and the long lines really killed the vibe here. There were long lines EVERYWHERE! To enter the stadium, to tube, to get wristbands for tubing and ice skating, to get skates to ice skate, to enter the ice skating rink, to get some of the good food items... just lines galore. Once I got past the fact that I would have to wait hours in lines I was able to enjoy myself a bit. Being that the lines were so long I was only able to tube & skate once. Part of the reason for the lines may have been that it rained most the day earlier that day but the crowd was overwhelming. Despite the lines, the tubing was really really fun! I wish I had been able to tube more than just once, that definitely would have made my time even more enjoyable. The ice skating was also overwhelming due to the amount of people in the rink we only went around twice. The ice was also not that great probably due to so many people. The lights were beautiful all around and I loved the Christmas tree installation and the fake snow. I enjoyed taking photos everywhere also. I know it seems like I'm saying a lot of negative things but it was still a good time. I just didn't have enough time to really enjoy it. So here are my tips...Go early, so that you can allot time to stand in lines and be able to enjoy the activities for the price.Check the weather before buying tickets.

For $10 it's not a bad deal! We came early on a weekday and already had purchased tickets online ahead of time. It took us (2 adults and one toddler) 1 hour to walk the whole course, stop and take photos, and walk the light tunnel a few times. We did not experience tremendous crowds and had plenty of space to walk. There are cute local vendors scattered throughout as well. Food offerings included strudel, hot pretzels, nuts, popcorn. Parking is always a hassle in this part of town and we ended up paying $13 for a lot close by. This, in my opinion, is definitely an activity for the kids. I am not sure I would have enjoyed it the same without my daughter.

This year we attended the Light the Knights festival for the first time. It immediately reminded me of an outside version of the Southern Women's Christmas Show because some of the same vendors were there. The admission fee was 10.00 per person (without ice skating or tubing) and it was worth the price. We had 90 minutes to 2 hours of fun walking around, people watching, and enjoying all of the Christmas music, treats, and decor. If you're appropriately dressed for the weather and wear comfortable walking shoes, you should have a good time.

What a way to get into the holiday spirit! It was great to see so many people out and into the enjoying family time, doing a little shopping, ice skating, tubing, walking through the several Christmas themed areas, or sitting down to watch the professional skaters put on a show. If you like to take selfies there are many places set up to do just that. Beautiful backgrounds for families and couples. There are sections where the kids (and adults) can stop and enjoy some simulated snow. The singing bears was a big hit for the kids where as the decorated Christmas trees were a hit for the grownups. A little beyond both of these areas you will find Santa Claus! He was listening to all the kids and what they want for Christmas. They can also write letters to Santa and put them right in the big Santa mailbox! They really thought of everything! If you haven't gone its worth a visit. It will get you into the holiday spirit. Oh, did I mention you can buy food and beverages in several places throughout the venue? Beer, wine, hot chocolate, several food choices and the snack bars. Enjoy!!

This is for anybody who plans on going next year! The light the nights festival in uptown charlotte was great! For sure 5/5 and would definitely go back. This festival has a little bit of everything. They had a slide for tubing and a huge ice skating ring. The skates come included in your ticket purchase. It was beautiful out there. And of course you can have a light festival without the lights. There's a marketplace area where there's different shops and vendors, they have hot chocolate and different things like that to get you in the holiday spirit !

Went on a Thursday when they first open at 5pm. Highly recommend it if you're opposed to crowds. The entrance fee is $10 and an additional $30 if you want to ice skate or snow tube. A little steep for just two activities even though there's no time limit. Not everyone wants to do both though. I suggest maybe next year providing pricing for each individual activity and separate colored wristband. Inside is decorated with lights, snow and music. They even have a tunnel light. There's food vendors and other concession stands inside along with gift and souvenir vendors. Lots of sight seeing, would love if they offered more activities, maybe bounce house, train ride etc.

We drove by Light the Knights Festival and it was so pretty that we immediately purchased tickets. Friday night was fantastic! There was a lengthy line to get in and get your wristbands. With that said, the line moves quickly and we were inside before we knew it! Started with ice skating. I'm not adept but I was happy that I could get around the rink with ease. It wasn't too crowded and that made me happy. The ice skating made us hungry so we walked over to check out the concessions. Turkey legs, hot dogs, pizza and chicken tenders were on the menu. My hot dog was great! There was a cider and hot cocoa stand. For those who like libations, you can add a liquor of your choice for an additional cost. I loved that you had free refills on the hot cocoa. After eating, we moved on to snow tubing. The line moved swiftly and the staff was super helpful. This was my favorite part of the night. We walked and checked out the different vendors. As we walked, we checked out the many different light displays. The fake snow and the light-hearted flair made for a perfect night. I highly recommend this event for a date night or a family night out.For more, you can visit @swill_cocktailsandmore on Instagram

Finally made it to the Light the Knights Festival! I've seen so many beautiful pictures and friends talk so highly of it, I had to go! From the moment you walk up the ticket scanners were very pleasant and in the Christmas spirit. When walking in you're greeted by a beautiful CLT sign and snow! Yes, (soap) snow! I love the attention to detail here and how decorated the stadium was with plenty of photo ops for families, couples, or singles! If you follow the trail you'll find plenty of decorated Christmas trees, a nativity, blow up decorations, and so much more, even Santa!!I loved that for kids there were two tables set up to write Santa a wishlist with an envelope already addressed and stamped to send out in the mail! I thought that was so sweet! There were beer, wine, and of course hot chocolate options, and plenty of food counters if you get hungry walking around. The vendors were placed about a quarter of the way in and wrapped around the stadium. Throughout your walk, you can get anything from hand crafted items to fudge! The purpose to shop local was the best concept you can have to promote a business and buy your loved ones something special! When you get to the middle there are professional skaters that go out to perform and there are plenty of seats to sip your hot cocoa and enjoy the show! Or if you're there and it's time for open skate, you can sit and enjoy others skating around. Everything above were included with the Festival admission ticket. However, the activity passes were separate for snow tubing and ice skating! Thank you for getting me in the holiday spirit Truist Field! We had such a fun time!
