Had a good round here, even in the winter, and I'm anxious to come back and play it during one of the other seasons when I'm sure the course conditions will be a little better. When I played, we had had an unseasonable amount of rain lately, and it was pretty soppy out there. Cart path only, and I think many un-intentional hazards around. Will definitely try it again based on my experience. This was one of those days that even though it was winter, and there was quite a bit of rain lately, a lot of people were trying to play, as it was the first golfable day in awhile. Because of this, the first tee was backed up, but was happy with the pace of play after that. This course is pretty old, original construction in the 1930s, so it is not long by today's standards. It is however, technical. Smart golfers here will opt to NOT use driver on many of the holes, as shot placement is much more important than distance. There are eagle opportunities here for big hitters that also have control (i.e. the 1% of golfers)There is a lot of slope. In some cases, being short on your approach can result in your ball rolling back 30 yards or more. Some of the greens as well are very challenging, but even in the winter, pretty well kept. Primary defenses here are the slope, the greens, and the placement of some bunkers. There is even a par 3 where you're going to have a hard time choosing a club, because the green is so far below the teebox.Overall, this course was a great value, and I would certainly come back and play again. I'll update my review when I do, hopefully the conditions will be better!

Great local course that could be considered a hidden gem. High slope rating and plenty of undulations but the greens were in good condition after recently getting punched. Course isn't long, but traps, tight fairways and trees make it a challenging course and club selection is a must on each shot.

This is an amazing golf course! They work super hard on their greens and do a great job with their members and visitors. If you're in the area and love golf, you MUST check out this course.

Good experience here. It's just golf. Great greens! Well kept fairways and cart paths. Not crowded weekdays.

Never had a problem here until today. We play this course 5-10 times a year. Booked 2 days in advance for 2 players. Got to the tee box and they had paired us up with 2 strangers. I do not like to play with strangers so I told the box attendee that we would go off after the 2 strangers tee'd off. The attendee got an attitude with me and told me that "wasn't how it worked" and if I had a problem go see the pro. After a lengthy conversation with the pro we were told to either play with the 2 strangers or leave so we got our money back and left. Now our Sunday golf is ruined because there are no tee times available anywhere else. You can believe this, I will never book here again. They lost a long time customer today.

Lexington Golf Club (built-in 1937 by the WPA, is a great, fun, and playable course. It's not long compared to some of the courses around where everyone thinks length is "the thing", but Lexington has holes that put a premium on shotmaking rather than how far one can hit a golf ball. Greens are not easy and will protect par. The staff keeps the course in good shape. Although there are days when one can walk up and pay the green fee (very reasonable I might add) and be on the first tee in 5 minutes it's best to call for a tee-time. The front 9 is hilly if you're walking, but if you're looking for exercise like me, that's ok. The backside is a tad easier to walk and if the course is not terribly busy you can probably go off the backside. My buddies and I have pushcarts and one even has a battery-operated cart which makes the walk a "walk in the park" so to speak. For a fun time give it a try. The green fees are very reasonable (cheaper on weekdays than weekends) especially if you walk. Pro Shop has a good selection of balls (even gently used ones), golf shoes, clubs and equipment, and golf shirts at reasonable prices, snacks, drinks, and beer.
