This place is amazing the owners are absolutely fantastic and welcoming! This is our go to spot for date night when we have had a long week. Drink quality is great! We have attended some of the events they have hosted and by far the Brunch Block Party was the best one yet.

We love the intimacy of Leo's Whiskey Bar. Literally a hole-in-the-wall place with a U-shaped bar commanding the center of the room. You're right there with the bartenders and other patrons at the bar which is great for making new friends. There are a few tables to sit at if you would like a more private conversation. Or all the bar stools are taken. When I say the place is intimate, I really mean it. The maximum capacity is 25 and that includes the staff. What really defines Leo's are the superb craft cocktails. This IS a whiskey bar and the bartenders literally craft your drink. No slinging liquor here! The prices are very reasonable, especially given the quality of the beverages. Definitely a place to stop in for a nightcap, or, hold court from the corner of the bar!

If you are a whiskey drinker this is your local place to go. Nice selection, knowledgeable staff. It is nice to go where there is a mixologist not just a bartender. Small place and have always meet nice people.

Over the weekend after dining at Taco Loco, my date and I cross the street to "just stick your head in" to Leo's whiskey bar. Or immediate impression was to step in, grab a table and order a drink! The ambience of the place was quite surprising, and extremely welcoming. Although it's a little tight and probably seats around 30 people, I'm guessing, there were still ample room between bar seats, inside tables and outside tablesAlthough their forte is whiskey, they had an amazing menu of mixed drinks and other libations if you are not a whiskey person, per se . The husband of the pair had made a few recommendations for what turned out to be a Mule-style drink for my date and sort of a piña colada sort of a drink for me that had whiskey as the primary liquor.Hers had a touch of jalapeño so it had a little bit of a bite to it but what an amazing surprise in terms of flavors. My drink also was shocking and absolutely delicious and a great recommendation by the owner! If you're looking for a place to have a drink before dinner or cocktails after dinner or after an afternoon of walking the streets of Asheboro, I would highly recommend this establishment. Excellent service, excellent drinks and did not break the budget!Definitely five star all the way !

The word "whiskey" comes from the Gaelic uisge, a shortened version of usage beatha meaning "water of life," also known as aqua vitae in Latin. Whiskey was originally used as a medicine, both as an internal anesthetic and an external antibiotic.Recommend Leo's bar for the skills of the bartender showing off the many of the mixologist's recipes for whiskey and cocktails.Leo's well stocked bar is very clean and has the distinct character of a gentleperson's relaxed retreat from the stress of the day.

On an unexpected night out in Asheboro my wife spotted this bar on a side street. We decided to venture in for a nightcap to warm up after dinner and am glad we did. Cozy and intimate horseshoe bar takes up most of the room. Whiskey list was good but not intimidating, with several highly allocated bottles available for a pour and a selection of cocktails on offer. After a pour of Elijah Craig Barrel Proof and a Manhattan, I came away quite happy.Definitely check this place out if you enjoy brown liquors, cozy atmosphere, and friendly service.

GO HERE!Great little bar on a side street in downtown Asheboro. Super friendly staff, and excellent drinks. Choice of bourbon & scotch cocktails, or straight selections. Private bar, so membership required ($1). No food served, but tasty bar snacks. I love it here! We will definitely be back (since we're members and all!)
