Legends Grille At Tryon International Equestrian Center

Wonderful food mediocre service. We walked in a lunchtime during the Christmas market opening. We had to wait a few minutes before staff showed up to seat us. Usually I'm pretty graceful about that but the restaurant was pretty empty so I didn't understand the wait. The food we got was delicious . We got the same sandwich, the turkey and Brie but I had a Greek salad and my lunch partner had the Parmesan truffle fries for a side. Again sandwich was seriously warm and balanced and delicious. The salad was just that a Greek salad. The Parmesan fries were really good as well. They were freshly cooked and well seasoned plus the added truffle oil and Parmesan just made them chef's kiss. Our waiter was pretty MIA throughout our service so water was hard to come by. However, we sat by the front windows which was nice, gave us a great view. I would go here again for the food!

We were there watching a show jumping competition. The place is small inside with some tables and bar seating. The menu is limited.I had the chicken fingers and truffle fries. Mine was good; no complaints. He had the wagyu burger. It was a disaster. As he ate it, it bled out ALL over the plate and disintegrated so he could no longer pick it up to eat it. He had to eat the rest with a fork. The blood filled the plate and looked pretty unappetizing. He has had many burgers before, but none that needed his own blood bag. He was sick within an hour after eating it, so it was $25 down the toilet. Literally.

Our reservation was for 6:30 and we arrived on time. It was for 11 people but 2 got added at the last minute. The restaurant was full. We got our drinks ordered right away but it took 30 minutes for them to arrive. We ordered appetizers and then, finally at 8 o'clock we got to order our main meal. We finally got out of there at 9:30! Our waitress was very nice but was running her legs off between serving tables inside and outside! I can't say enough good about her as she was doing the best she could under the circumstances. We only saw one other waitress in the whole restaurant during our 3 hour event. This place is on site of an equestrian facility with limited options for food. It is a drive to find other options than fast food but we are going to find something as this is unacceptable. It is loud in the restaurant and got louder as the evening wore on.

Food is so so. The equestrian center is cool. Service isn't so great either. Xxxxxxcxxxxxcccccc

We will dine here every time we are nearby! Service here was amazing and friendly! The food was fantastic and made to order perfectly. The little biscuits and bread they brought to the table were so good and served with a tasty salted butter.

This place is beautiful!! I'm giving 4 stars because we got the fried green tomatoes appetizer and they were not cooked properly. Otherwise the food was great. Truffle Mac n cheese, chicken tenders, halibut were all great.

We came here on a Sunday night with a reservation which was most definitely not needed because the place only had two other parties. Our server was incredibly kind and attentive. He told us that this restaurant hasn't had a lot of business due to covid and the business of the equestrian center. We started with the tuna tacos and she crab soup. In my opinion, both were just okay but my the rest of my party really enjoyed them. I thought the tuna didn't taste very fresh and found pieces of shell in the soup. The rest of my party ordered steak which was absolutely delicious. I order the salmon which was great I just thought the presentation was a little strange. The food was good just the prices a little high for the quality. Overall I would definitely come back here and recommend it to others. The equestrian center when busy must be such a fun place and I would love to see it operating at almost full capacity.

Exploring around the new neighborhood and we had to pass by since we heard to much about this establishment. We walked the grounds and we're absolutely overwhelmed with all of the attractions and there are so many choices for dining. We felt like being St Patrick's Day and all let's go no out and have a proper pint and meal. We were immediately greeted by the sweetest and vivacious lady (Joanie) we've meet so far. She gave us all of the inside information about the upcoming events and attractions. She was so welcoming and personable. Management did a wonderful job hiring her. We sat down and we're immediately greeted by our serve (David Wagner). He brought these cheese biscuit breads which were absolutely AMAZING!!!!! He was very knowledgeable of the menu/dishes and gave us some great recommendations. The wifey ordered the ahi tuna tacos (large portion) and they tasted great. Crispy, fresh, filling and fresh. I ordered some appetizers the truffle mac and cheese as well as the braised tenderloin quesadillas. The mac and cheese was good however the tenderloin quesadilla tasted soooo good. All the food was flavorful and fresh. The establishment has plenty of seating and the live band is a big plus. What an great place to kick back and enjoy a meal. We highly recommend the place to anyone who wants to get out and have a fun day/evening. Can't wait until our next visit.

Food was spectacular, healthy preparation and artistically displayed when brought to table. My compliments to the Chef. We will be continually returning for more quality food and service. Lovely ambiance.

We went not knowing what to expect. We heard Legends was pretty good but I'd have to say the experience was nothing to get excited about. Expensive, average food and drinks; ok service who was overwhelmed with a large group and three single tables. Ambiance was nothing special.
