We had a great time on the wagon ride. I believe our guides name was Albert and he was terrific. Tickets for a wagon ride are $21/ea foradults. Our two kids under 2 years old were free. This includes a big bucket of feed with each ticket. You get so close to so many animals- giraffes, variety of cows, zebra, goats. We got to pet many of the animals and dump food into their mouths. We felt safe the whole time. The animals appear well taken care of, including the horses pulling the wagon. The wagon ride lasted an hour or so. The animals come close to the cars too- definitely consider your car could be damaged by a cow horn if doing the drive through. The nice thing about the wagon ride is that you dontget stuck behind any drivers. You can go off roading (so to speak) to avoid any points of congestion.

I recently had the most incredible experience at Lazy 5 Ranch, and I cannot stop gushing about it! As an adult, I never knew that visiting a petting zoo could bring me so much joy and wonder. The moment I stepped into the Lazy 5 Ranch, I was greeted by a menagerie of friendly and curious animals that seemed just as excited to meet me as I was to meet them. The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the petting zoo area, where I was able to interact with the animals in a way that I never thought possible. From gentle llamas to playful goats and majestic zebras, each animal had its own unique personality and charm. The experience of feeding and petting these beautiful creatures was truly unforgettable and left me feeling a deep connection with the natural world around me.What sets Lazy 5 Ranch apart from other petting zoos is the incredible level of interaction that visitors can have with the animals. The staff at the ranch are clearly dedicated to the well-being of the animals, and their passion and knowledge shine through in every interaction. I felt safe and supported throughout my visit, and it was evident that the animals were well cared for and loved.Overall, my experience at Lazy 5 Ranch was nothing short of magical. The friendly animals, beautiful surroundings, and unmatched level of interaction made it a day that I will never forget. Whether you're a child or an adult, a visit to Lazy 5 Ranch is sure to inspire awe and wonder, and I cannot recommend it highly enough. If you're looking for a unique and unforgettable animal experience, Lazy 5 Ranch is the place to be!

So much fun! I would absolutely do it again. My favorite was the giraffes and the emu/rheas. My boyfriend and I went on a Friday and it wasn't too busy for the carriage ride. I know it costs more but it was a lot more fun feeding the animals in an opened environment and not worrying about the damages to your car. We bought extra buckets for food and I'm also glad we did that because near the end we were low on food to give. (The giraffes eat a lot!) wish we could have passed by the bison but it was cool seeing all the other animals. Service was nice and they were on schedule.Bring CASH, bring close toed shoes and pants, and be careful of hoodies with some of the animals. Young children with us did well too. Worth the visit if in town

Previously store a review and most of it still stands. Great places with tons of animals and they are well cared for. But there is no way to get around other cars in the drive-through the problem when you have young kids and there's not a bathroom. It's long and very slow. We were also overcharged - $43 for an adult and young kid and two buckets of food which should have been 36. Just double check.

I'm not sure why this was my first time visiting being that I've lived in Charlotte nearly 20 years. Hands down I recommend. We brought out 2nd graders here on a field trip. It was phenomenal. We thoroughly enjoyed!!

My nephew had a first birthday party here and It was actually nice. The animals were out of control. You can choose to ride the wagon or drive your car, I suggest the wagon lol. They have a party area , playground, petting zoo and food. The kids had a time!

This was such an incredible experience! We had so much fun and saw so many cool animals! The tubs of food are good size. The bathrooms were clean. There is a playground, picnic area, a walking path to see some animals and then of course the riding trail. We opted for the wagon ride. We felt safe the whole time, the staff was amazing and we will definitely be back! There is also a little gift shop so check that out too! I'll let some pictures speak for the rest of it.

We had a ball! My friend was visiting Charlotte for one day only and we decided to make a trip to the Lazy 5 Ranch. Now we're both 33 years young and got slightly discouraged at first seeing all of the kids and school groups but I'll tell you what, we probably had more fun than they did. We called to make reservations for the wagon ride and luckily for us they had 2 spots left in an hour. My drive from Steele creek was exactly 1 hour so it worked out perfectly. The wagon ride was $21/each. It was actually teacher appreciation day (free admission) and she's a teacher but we didn't know about it until afterwards...bummer . Anyways, the wagon ride was great. You get a bucket of food, an educational tour and you really get to get up front and personal with the animals. After the wagon ride we decided to drive thru in my Jeep. It's a lifted Rubicon with a removable top so the giraffes were hands down my favorite as we were able to feed them through the roof. We ended up spending 3.5 hours here and left right before the storm came in. You'll get dirty (a giraffe spit on me) , your car will get dirty (animal saliva and food pellets everywhere in/on the car) and there will be an excessive amount of flies but if that doesn't bother you stop by and have a day full of laughs and fun.*Cash only. No atm on property.
