Layaly Cafe & Hookah lounge

Hookah is my best friend ever and i try many different hookahs. My friends and me went this place yesterday to smoke hookah and drink hot tea. So first wAitress came and she speaks Spanish and doesn't understand each other. Second waitress came and she has EarPods on her both ears and we had to repeat our orders few times to her hear that. Finally we got hookah like trash and hot tea with plastic or paper cup for coronavirus time, like starbucks )) No tea pod , no glass cup , hookah like and no service. I would recommend to find another place. We live here in Matthew and we meet every weekend with my friends but we do not want to go here , where is waitress doesn't respect their customers. Restaurant itself is big and comfortable , that's why I put 1 star.

Its doggy. As soon as the employee change occurred the service went to shit. The hookahs always taste burnt. Takes them 20 minutes to remake a head. My son can make a better head in 5 minutes. Do not come for the hookah. The seating/music is good though but dont expect much from the hookahs.

I've been to this place countless times since I've moved to Charlotte. It is by far the best hookah lounge in North Carolina. I've been smoking hookah for a long time and have even owned a hookah lounge back in Maryland so my recommendation does not come lightly. I am very particular about the places I frequent and this place has never left me with any complaints. The actual lounge itself is beautiful and always clean. It is a newer property and you can really see that. On top of that, all of the staff is super friendly and at this point even good friends. Whenever you come here they will treat you like family. I come in very regularly and know many of the staff by name at this point. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for some good hookah and good vibes. It is def not a club atmosphere which I love. It is a proper lounge like you'd find in many Arab countries.To the owners: I'd like to give a huge shoutout to Muhammad and Dana. They're always very welcoming and helpful. They go above and beyond every single time. Actually everyone does but they're the ones at our tables the most

It was nice the atmosphere was okay we didn't stay long it wasn't the kind of hookah lounge I thought it was, but it was cool for the most part.

This is one of the best hookah spots I've been to. I went during the day and it was the perfect place to get some work done. They have some music playing (Arabic and English), and they have tables as well as lounging/booth-like areas. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but the inside is clean and beautiful. They use different heads for the hookah so they don't burn like the typical heads that use foil. Also, they do student discounts if you have an ID! The woman there was very helpful and kind. I'll definitely be back and will hopefully try some of their food/cafe items.

Very chill hookah spot. A lot of seating and hookah here is the best in town. Come here with friends for a private, social hookah night

This place is not bad but not the greatest either. I would love if they would have bigger selection of tobaccos. Menu only has desert and drinks, no food

Since one of my favorite hookah lounges closed I resorted to coming here. I will first start by saying the hookah is decent and a decent price. They have great flavors and have more than one option for the head of the hookah. The service is 1 out of 10 for me. They do not check on their customers. the ambiance is very lackluster. Especially with two new men who both wear glasses who are there most of the time now they are very rude and I'm not sure if they are related to the owners and that's why they act like they don't care. either way they are not pleasant people. One thing I also would like to point out is that this spot will never open up when it says online. You will be waiting outside for a VERY long time until they open. If I was running this establishment I would be try my best to turn this around. Having ppl wait outside and leave because it is not open at the time it says on line is completely asinine and embarassing as a business owner. I was going to reccomend this place to a friend who does reviews on lounges and restaurants in charlotte. But that would not be favorable to this establishment.

The only issue is an employee brings his kid to work. The kid starts running around yelling and screaming. The dad starts cussing at him and causes a scene. Kids do not belong in this establishment especially when the kid starts with the yelling and screaming. It's annoying and I wish the owners would address this immediately. I come here to relax and not hear family drama.
