Dang good BBQ!! I appreciate my BBQ joints being old school. Serve me a delicious lean BBQ sandwich with yummy slaw and smothered in sauce and I'm in heaven. Kyle's didn't disappoint. Hush Puppies were fire. Nothing sweet here. Like it's meant to be. Fries also good. Loved the hometown feels. Service was quick and right on. Can't wait for my next trip.

I have always liked the way, Carl's cookies barbecue! I feel like it's one of the best in the county. However, I was raised down east of the Lexington style BBQ. My favorite I would say Kyle Fletchers in awesome

The food was alright, nothing special. We aren't going back. It was just average BBQ.

Ok. I've been in North Carolina for about 4 years now, and can tell you with 100% certainty that this is BY FAR the WORST food we've ever eaten and absolutely the WORST BBQ period! How on earth they've obtained so many good reviews is EXTREMELY suspicious. I've eaten a better BBQ sandwich in my elementary school. From the beginning the food looked tremendously DRY and bland. The chopped bbq sandwich looked so miserable on a cold hamburger bun with a tiny amount of BBQ sauce. I nearly had to drown it in sauce in order to be able to swallow it from how dry it was. Total fail. The ribs were also BEYOND DRY and also needed to be DROWNED in sauce in order to be able to swallow it. The sides were TERRIBLE with the exception of the crinkle fries and the hush puppies. Whoever is in charge of cutting the onion rings is obviously very lazy because they're WAY TOO THICK! We didn't even eat them. Some of them were almost whole onions fried in batter! LAZY COOKING! It still blows my mind how a place so HORRIBLE has so many good reviews. Either they're all fraudulent reviews or the people of North Carolina don't have a clue of what good barbecue is. But! If you like DRY DRY DRY barbecue you'll love this place! Midwood Smokehouse is #1 City BBQ is #2 Smoke Pit is #3 That's it! Don't bother trying anything else.

I love their kids cheeseburger, onion rings, and iced tea! Each are the best served in Gastonia! They also serve an excellent grilled cheese sandwich with the yummy melted cheese, crisp lettuce, tomato and onions! Delicious and hard to beat! The service is very friendly and attentive and the prices very reasonable! Not fancy, but cozy, casual, and down home!

Kyle Fletcher's is everything you want in a BBQ restaurant, down to the smoker blowing in the wind around back. Super nice staff, quick service. It was a beautiful day, there are a couple of benches outside or you can eat in your car. There is indoor seating, but with the pandemic, it is curbside only, you can call ahead or order from your car.My sandwich was delicious, the eastern NC BBQ sauce was perfect and the slaw was excellent, also plentiful, sometimes it is the tiniest dab on a BBQ sandwich, I liked that it was a generous portion, but the BBQ was cold. And I don't mean it had been hot and it was room temperature, I mean cold to the touch, like it hadn't been properly reheated. So all that hard work and the most important final step of getting it to the customer, was a fail. And I ordered a side of hushpuppies, that were delicious too, but they had been sitting under the heat lamp so they weren't fresh either. I will totally return because the food was so good, if it just would have been handled with care. CASH ONLY!!!

Service was very poor. Ratings have gone done significantly. Don't answer phones to take call in orders. Claim they are too busy. Takes forever to get your food.

I had heard this was good BBQ, but I was not prepared for PERFECTION! They actually smoke their meat, AND the baked beans! BBQ had NO gristle, no fat, but was moist. They don't sauce it; they let you do that. There ate 2 sauces: one is your typical,sweet, tomato based, bottled sauce. The other is house made and is vinegar based; not too hot, not too mild. The baked beans were a bit sweet for me, but lightly smoked baked beans? Sign me up! The cole slaw was the weakest part of the meal. Too soupy, mayonnaise-y, with a strong dill pickle flavor. I never mention iced tea-it's either too sweet or not sweet enough. This iced tea is PERFECT!! Really! That must be why the sell so much of it!They only have a VERY SMALL dining room, so either take it to go, or be prepared for a wait. Trust me, it's worth the wait!!

Best BBQ in the area. My hometown favorite, love the burger too. Don't forget cash....
