Koumi Express

Koumi is perfect for a quick drive thru dinner. My food has always been delicious here (soup, chicken, steak, rice, veggies, noodles, shrimp sauce) and their tea is delicious! The line can get a little wild on a weekend night or dinner rush, but moves pretty quickly and is worth it. Prices are comparable to other drive thrus in my opinion. Inside is eh- best to grab a big Togo box meal through the drive thru!

Dry steak and chicken, pretty high prices. Still the best shrimp sauce around. Not a good overall experience.

So many people rave about this place but I just didn't love it. I felt like the flavor had a lot to be desired and the side of carrots was different. Not good, just different. Also, as a first time customer, I called in an order and the guy said it would be ready in 15 minutes. So I got there and called them back to ask them what I was supposed to do since the line was crazy and there was nowhere to walk in to grab my order. Since he said it would be ready in 15 minutes, I waited and then came so I assumed my order was done and waiting on me. They said I had to wait in line to re-put my order in at the box and just wait in the line. So... what was the point of taking my order over the phone? And why give me a "it'll be ready time?" I'm not sure I'll try this place again but I'll report back if I do.

This is our go to for hibachi for our family of 3. The location is not near where we live, but worth the drive for the price and quality. The drive thru is the only option, but the service is fast and friendly. They also give you plenty of shrimp sauce with your meal.

We were passing through Monroe on the way home when we found Koumi on Yelp. We wanted to try it because they had such great reviews. The reviews didn't lie, y'all! I gave them 5 stars due to the followings: 1. Location: I'm not from around here, but it was convenient from the highway. 2. Setting: the restaurant has plenty of seating with clean restrooms. Good for groups dine in. 3. Price: we thought the food was reasonably priced. We got 2 entree for roughly $20ish. 4. Food: the food was delicious and the portions were big for the price. 5. Service: they were extremely patient while I was indecisive. Great customer service. Overall, the food was great and so were the staff. I would come back if we were in the area again.

I love this place. It's the quickest drive-thru in town for the upscale food you get! Wonderful Japanese food. I always get the hibachi shrimp or the grilled salmon with great spring rolls!!! Great and friendly service!

Food is great. It's a lot of the same thing but it's overall good. I docked a star because I once found a hair in my food.

WOWZA! Love this fast food type hibachi express! I've been eating here since I was a kid with my family and now that I'm in my twenties, I make to make a stop whenever I'm in town! This place is great for two types of people: people on the go who want to eat their food at home or in the office and people who want a casual sit down experience! They have a to go window (it can get pretty busy FYI) but their hibachi chicken with noodles are worth it!! And make sure you order a pack of spring rolls (order double what you usually order because they're that good!!) Great atmosphere to dine in as well! You stand in line to order then there are many tables to choose from to sit on the inside. They also have nice decor! I think it's very cute inside, perfect for a date night or a family night. What's even better is that it's right next door to the movies!!

My wife and I stopped in here on the way back home. She found them on yelp and decided we should try it due to the great reviews. Overall, my take on it is this: food was delicious and the staff were extremely accommodating, and the place is clean. The price is on the cheaper side, but you get quality food. It's pretty uncommon for a fast food type of place. I would go back if we were in the area again.

We tried Koumi on a recommendation from a coworker. After pulling up it definitely wasn't what we were expecting but the drive through line was wrapped around the building. We went in to dine in and were pleasantly surprised at how nice it was. Extremely clean, good customer service, and a 100 for sanitation. We ordered a few things to try and each was better than the next! Super quick as well
