First time here and I got take out. They were not busy at all considering it's a Monday. The food was decent, I've had better. I would try dining in next time and seeing if their other items are good. We also tried the general tso chicken and the meat tasted fresh but the sauce was not that good. The ambiance is a casual spot. Will have to give it another try.

Service was slow to start but picked up, staff was busy with end of lunch rush. Food was good, kids were happy! Ambiance is nothing too special, not crazy about the music but there's nothing wrong with any of it.... Our favorite rolls were the Cherry Blossom, Rainbow and Super Crunchy.

My co workers and I came here for lunch, and we were pleasantly surprised. What clearly was a Pizza Hut is now a really nice locally owned Japanese restaurant, with some fusion in there too. I opted for the lunch special of 2 Maki rolls served with an egg roll, and soup or salad. Everything I had was great. I also tried a piece of my co workers General Tso's Chicken, which was also excellent! Our server was excellent, and we can't wait to come back.

The food is always incredible! I moved away 10 years ago and recently moved back to Charlotte, and this is still my favorite sushi place! Family owned and great food!

Came in around 4pm place was empty so seated right away. Ordered the miso soup and house salad and chicken lettuce wraps. The soup was little watered down and not too hot. The salad was much larger than most places and we loved the Ginger dressing. The lettuce wraps were delicious and good size portion as well.Got the Pink Floyd roll and the Leap roll. Both came out looking amazing. Unfortunately they did not taste as great as they looked. The Pink Floyd was really dry and chewy. And both rolls lacked any stand out flavor.

I went to Koishi for the first time and I was impressed. I'm a little picky when it comes to sushi quality but the food was good. What really blew me away was the service. I feel like it's been more difficult to find good service these days and when I get it I have more of an appreciation. Our server Meiguan was absolutely wonderful. He was quick and friendly and just an overall delight. We will be back!

Visited Koishi while staying down the street for dinner. Upon walking in it is a dim lighted ambience with a nicely decorated interior with a sushi bar. The service was great our waitress was very attentive. The menu is quite extensive with different Japanese, Chinese, and Thai options. For appetizers I got the teriyaki skewers and my fiance got the Shrimp Tempura rolls to start off. They both were excellent. For our entrees we got the glazened shrimp and sesame chicken with fried rice and broccoli. The jumbo glazed shrimp were good. The sesame chicken and broccoli tasted like it was microwaved. The fried rice is just fried rice with and egg. My rice had eggshells in it. So overall an okay an experience. I would return to try more sushi rolls.

This place is life changing. The service--incredible, quick, and accurate. The food stays in my head for days after dining. I have never loved a restaurant so much. Highly recommend the Chicken Pad Thai and Steamed Dumplings.
