Got food from the Killer Q BBQ food truck at the Beer, Bourbon, and BBQ festival in Tampa, FL. I traded in my VIP ticket and paid an upcharge too (for brisket or burnt ends? Honestly don't remember because it was not good memorable). Annoyingly, the upcharge was not mentioned on their menu board as other trucks displayed. I was sorely disappointed. The meat was edible. Nothing special. My double Mac and cheese was as bad as it looked. All my friends went to different trucks and everyone else's food looked so much better.

I had Killer Q at the Beer, Bourbon and BBQ festival about 20-30 minutes after the festival started. The customer service was absolutely wonderful! It went downhill from there . As soon as I looked at my plate, I new that ordering from this truck was a mistake.Mac and cheese - It was super cheesy but had zero flavor! There was no salt, no pepper....no nothing! Just noodles and cheese.Collard greens - These came straight from a can! No salt, no pepper, no flavor....Just can to plate! Beans - Horrible! They were like some type of chilli beans or something, the meat in it tasted processed. Almost like canned chili beansHawaiian roll - DELICIOUS Pulled pork - Some parts were bitter and none of it had flavor. The entire plate was almost not even edible. It was horrible! The mustard based barbecue was really good. I'll never eat here again but do wish them the best of luck.

Just eat at home. My brisket plater was $23 Street corn was from a can, no resemblance of elote, per the title. Mac and cheese- meh, I'll take my box mixes from home. But that's fine, I don't get bbq for the sides!! So the brisket... I watched it be taken from a package, like food service delivery... opened up, sliced on a board and served up. I asked where it came from and no one could answer and directed me to the busy man opening up packages. Ok well I'm here, I got my food service brisket... maybe it will be good. Nope. Super disappointed in the whole package. Perhaps other bbq items are tasty, but it's not worth me trying again. Oh, the roll was fine. That was the best part of the meal, a prepackaged roll.Updating to remove a star... I've had all day to think about how bad this was- a waste of my dollars to not finish the food. I wanted to warn others when I saw them in line, but refrained. Still hoping everyone else has a better experience with other meats and options.

First time we ordered from this food truck.I had the brisket, side of coleslaw and green bean casserole. My dining mate had the chili.Meals came with cornbread. The brisket was excellent and tender. The coleslaw average and green bean casserole ok was informed made with canned mushroom soupThe chili was good and very spicey but my dining mate enjoyed it. Cornbread ? from a mix. Portions average, prices moderate. Variety of bbq sauces available for your meal.A nice menu, friendly owner.May try the ribs next time

The bbq mac from Killer Q is absolutely excellent. It's a generous portion of pulled pig on top of a generous portion of mac and cheese. Both are executed well. The bbq has a nice texture with a lot of smoke and the mac is creamy and not dry. I can't wait to try other menu items. These guys are killing it. They had 2 lines tonight.. one for orders and one with people returning with compliments!

I work at Triple C Brewery and Killer Q was our food truck last Saturday. I had the chicken BBQ Sundae and OMG it was AMAZING!! This thing had everything you could ever want for a BBQ meal in one cup! Beams, check. Slaw (white, my fav), check. Mac n cheese (soo good), check. BBQ (obviously), check. And to top it off, he even puts a tropics umbrella in it!! Really impressed & I hope Killer Q comes back to Triple C EVERY day I work!!

Charlotte best kept secret! Try everything from the mac and cheese bowls to the brisket chili. I'm a big fan of the chicken, it's pulled, lean and juicy; no sauce required. I love the red sauce, my husband is hooked on the mustard. We've had them cater one event (they even delivered it), we've eaten at their restaurant in Waxhaw, and now we've hit the food truck. All great food, great service, and an unexpected bite of Texas. YUM!!

The food of this food truck is better than most restaurants. Do yourself a favor and find out where these guys are at next time you want good digs. The brisket might be the best I've ever had, definitely the best in Charlotte. Didn't need sauce.
