My daughter and her husband reserved this place for a birthday party for my grandson! There were seventeen kids and their parents in attendance! The children were allowed to play for about thirty minutes before the birthday party started! I think the adults we're hoping the kids would burn off some energy and become a little bit calm and docile! That's not going to happen! Children have boundless energy and even if they get tired; they recover quickly! I posted a list of the educational play areas offered here. We had a good sized private room for the festivities! After the party the kids ran from play center to play center for about another hour and a half! New Years hats, face mask, top hats and much more were provided for every child and adult in the building! I even grabbed a hat for myself! This is a fantastic place for kids to have their birthday parties and I highly recommend them!

This is a nice place to visit. Our little one had a wonderful time running from each area to the next. There are several kid friendly exhibits. They have a fire house, news room, vet office, grocery store, coloring area, pretend restaurant, soap bubble area, vacuum tubes, and many others. The day we visited the place had a couple field trips there with older kids than mine. So it was not too fun until they left. The stations setup to simulate real life places. They have the tools and clothing to make the experience more authentic. For example the vet office you pick a pet and take them grooming, teeth cleaning, and X-ray. The stations are well thought out. The only downside I found was the cost of admission. I was a little surprised that adults had to pay to get in. A lot of the kid things we've been to don't charge for the adults.

Can't say enough about this cute place. Drove from Charlotte, NC to take the grandsons who had a blast. They would have stayed for days. The staff is beyond friendly and I could have stayed for days talking to them. Yes, it is not as large as Discovery Place but my boys had more fun here for half the price proving once again that bigger is not always better.. We will definitely visit again. Thanks for a great day of wonderful memories.

I highly recommend KidSenses Children's Museum.I have three grandchildren that always look forward to KidSenses when they come to visit. We literally spend hours there every time they come. The kids LOVE it and the adults can visit while the kids play and learn. There's plenty of activities to keep everyone occupied. The hard part is getting them to leave. Then it's off to Barley's for a late lunch. We can go back to KidSenses afterward (make sure you keep your receipt). It's inexpensive and everyone's tired and happy at the end of the day.

Great attraction for kids! Perfect for babies to kids up to 10 years or so! We went with two boys ages 4 & 7 and two girls ages 2 & 9; all had a blast! Different rooms with different activities: grocery store, vet, science exploration, restaurant, theater, train tables, puppet show, bubbles, arts & crafts, and more!! Plus a closed-off area for 4 years and younger; great for crawlers! We spent 2 hours here and my kids were entertained enough to warrant staying longer. $5/per person to enter, then everything's included and you can come and go throughout the day. All indoors so it's perfect for rainy/snowy or too cold/hot weather!

They have added a garden that is down form the main museum. There's a tree house with a slide (the steep stone steps look a little dangerous so watch the little ones). They are growing a lot of neat plants, vegetables and some fruits. They plan on having kids pick the fruit (berries) when they're ripe and eat them on ice cream. They have a craft area where you can make a bird feeder. The only down side is if you split from the group you cannot get back into the museum - the back door locks. you have to go all the way around to the front of the museum (around the block). They really should get an intercom so they can "buzz" people back in. Anyway, a nice addition.

What a jewel for Rutherfordton families with small children. I loved how there was a play area completely for kids under four. That said - my 16 month old was able to engage in the other areas as well. We will definitely be back.

I had a friend in from out of town and we were looking for activities that would include her 11 year old. We went inside Kidsenses and could see right away that most of the children at the museum were a bit younger than my little guest. The woman at the front desk was especially helpful by being honest. She said that many of the exhibits were targeted for the younger ones and then she OFFERED to let us look around inside the building for a quick walk-through so we could judge for ourselves if it was something our guest would be interested in before paying the admittance fee. What spectacular customer service! Sadly, it was not well suited for us but because of their welcoming attitude and quality museum features, I will be back when I have any younger guests to entertain. The place was filled with laughing and happy kids so I can tell it's quite a hit with the right age group. Many thanks for your consideration.
